Jimmy Fallon speaks out after ABC pulls Jimmy Kimmel Live! From the air.
On Thursday, September 18th, in an article on “The Tonight Show,” Fallon said ABC pulled Jimmy Kimmel Live! “Indefinitely.”
“Well, the big story is that Jimmy Kimmel was interrupted by the ABC after pressure from the FCC. “This morning, I awakened up to 100 text messages from my dad, saying, ‘I’m sorry I canceled your show.’ And I’ll go, “It’s not me!” It’s Jimmy Kimmel! ”
The late-night host continued, “To be honest with you guys, I don’t know what’s going on and no one else will. But I know Jimmy Kimmel.
“I’m worried that a lot of people are worried about not continuing to say what we want to say or being censored,” Fallon said.
The NBC host said, “Well, guys, President Trump has just concluded his three-day trip to the UK, and “the narration was cut and he said, ‘I looked incredibly handsome’.
Fallon continued to explain Trump. “As usual, his tie was,” Fallon said, “the exact length” before the voiceover was over.
“And I could see his face,” Fallon said – and “the voiceover was cut like a natural color.”
“And I could see his hair –,” Fallon said before being interrupted by a voiceover that said, “Better than Conrad from the summer and I’m pretty cute.”
“During the trip, protesters were able to project images onto the side of Trump’s Windsor Castle, standing next to his best friend, Jeff.
Fallon continues, “Even though his administration still claims he is not in the goldblum-file, we all know that we are an absolute bull – the truth.”
“Anyway, to summarise that, President Trump is,” Fallon said, “Before making America great again, by restoring our national reputation, revitalizing our economy, and rebuilding our troops, Fallon said.

On Wednesday, September 17th, an ABC spokesman confirmed to people that Disney’s ABC would be pulling Jimmy Kimmel Live! Indefinitely.
The network’s move follows Nexstar Media’s decision to preempt the program’s broadcast. Nexstar Media is the largest local broadcast and digital media company in the United States, and owns over 200 television stations in 116 markets.
According to a press release, Nexstar recently announced plans to win rival broadcaster Tegna for $6.2 billion for $6.2 billion, further consolidating local television landscapes and placing Nexstar in 80% of American television-owned households. The acquisition will require final approval from the Federal Communications Commission, managed by Trump.
In a statement to people, Nexstar said the company “strongly opposes Kimmel’s recent comments on the murder of Charlie Kirk, replacing the show with other programming in the ABC-related market.”
Nexstar’s Broadcasting Division Chairman Andrew Alford detailed the people’s decisions, saying, “Kimmel’s comments about Kirk’s death were aggressive and insensitive at a critical period in our national political discourse and do not reflect the value of the opinions, opinions or values of the communities in which we are located.” ”
FCC Chair Brendan Kerr also praised Nexstar for putting pressure on ABC to remove Kimmel, writing that “it is important to push back Disney programming that broadcasters have determined they are not reaching the value of their community.”

A media company decides to lead Jimmy Kimmel live! It came from the air two days after Kimmel mentioned Kirk for the September 15th show.
Speaking to President Donald Trump’s supporters of “make America great again,” Kimmel said, “We hit some new lows over the weekend as we’re trying to characterize this child who killed Charlie Kirk as something other than them.”
Kirk was shot dead at a speaking event at Utah Valley University on September 10th. He was 31 years old.
Kirk’s murder led Kimmel to social media to express his sadness to Kirk’s family.
“Can I agree that, instead of having an angry finger point, one day, shooting another person is a horrifying monster?” he wrote at the time. “On behalf of my family, we send love to Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocent people who have been victims of meaningless gun violence.”
After CBS cancelled its late show with Stephen Colbert in July 2025, President Donald Trump predicted that longtime ABC host Kimmel will be the next late-night victim.
“The word is that it’s a strong word. Jimmy Kimmel goes to a deep, late night sweepstakes adjacent and soon after, (Jimmy) Fallon goes away,” Trump wrote in his social account of truth.
