Kate Middleton and Prince William shared an unusual photo of them holding hands behind the scenes at a state banquet held at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, September 17th.
The Prince and Princess of Wales posted a snap to their Instagram stories with text “behind the scenes.”
An unusual display of affection emerged when the royal family hosted President Donald Trump, Melania Trump and members of the US delegation in Windsor, England. Princess Kate, 43, wore a cream and gold lace gown, while Prince William was also 43 years old, wearing a classic black suit decorated with military honors.
Kate’s gown was designed by Philippa Repley, and her tiara, a favorite of the late Princess Diana, is known as the knot of Cambridge enthusiasts, reported Vogue.
Princess Kate also wore the star and sash grand cross of the late Queen Elizabeth, the royal order of King Charles III, the royal order of King Elizabeth II, and the Royal Victorian Order.
The Princess of Wales was later sitting by the 79-year-old Trump for state dinner.
Everything from silverware to seating was pre-strategically placed, with 160 honorable guests at the banquet. The combination of gorgeous processions surprised both royal fans and political followers.
The procession of honorable guests began with King Charles, 76, followed by Queen Camilla, 78, and Melania, 55.

Behind them walked Prince William with longtime energy executive Paula Reynolds.
Kate followed with Michael Boulos, a Gen Z business executive who is married to the president’s young daughter, Tiffany Trump.
Tiffany – the only child Donald shares with his ex-wife, Mala Maples – was also part of the queue. However, she was assigned a spot in her husband’s five locations to the lineup, walking alongside Apple CEO Tim Cook.
At the actual banquet table, 28-year-old Boulos sat beside Kate. With Tiffany, 31, she sat four seats from the Princess of Wales, between Cook and David Owen, the spouse of Biotech CEO Dame Emma Walmsley.

“Melania and I are pleased to visit Prince William and see her royal Highness, Princess Catherine.
Kate looked up at Trump at that moment and smiled politely in response.
The president continued, “That’s a really great honor. Thank you.”
