Look at Demi Lovato’s former BFF now.
The “Heart Attack” singer praised Selena Gomez during her appearance on Tuesday’s “Watch What What Happens Live,” saying she “didn’t be happy” due to her engagement to her former fellow fellow Benny Blanco.
“I hope she’s the best,” gushed Lovato, 33.
The “Camp Rock” star pointed out that she is a fan of Gomez and Blanco’s collaborative “I Said I Love You First” album.
“It’s really, really, really great work. I love the song,” Robert told viewers, particularly highlighting “Bluest Flame.”
Gomez, 33, and record producer (37), got engaged in December 2024.
Lovato made the post “love” when the bride showed off her ring via Instagram at the time and told her followers that “it started forever.”
The “Sony with Chance” alumni have known Gomez since 2002 when the actress co-starred in “Bernie & Friends.”
The duo remained close to Disney’s era, but they appeared to have fallen out. This was confirmed by Lovato in a 2020 interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
“I’m not friends with her,” the former X-Factor judge told the magazine.
But Lovato quickly said, “When you grow up with someone, you’re always going to love them… I’ve always loved her.
She pointed out that Miley Cyrus was the “only person of that era” she was in touch with.
Gomez is now a close friend of Taylor Swift, and jokingly wrote on Instagram last year on “Yes, she’s the only murder in the building” that “she’ll become a flower girl.”
The couple reportedly tied the knot later this month despite having performed Coy on their wedding plans in multiple interviews.
“To be honest, we didn’t think about anything. We moved very quickly,” Blanco said in an interview with “Tonight’s Show starring Jimmy Fallon.” “Do you think you have time to figure out your marriage plans?”
On the “Therapse” podcast four months later, he said, “We didn’t even have time to go into it, but we’re excited. I think this summer we’ll be sitting down and like, ‘OK, what are we doing?’ ”
As for Lovato, she married Jute in California in May.
She and the musician, 34, got engaged in December 2023 by sharing a “wordless” songwriter who shares photos of the proposal via Instagram.
“The daily life I spent with you has come true, and I can’t wait to love you forever and cherish you,” Lovato wrote at the time. “This is the rest of our lives.”
