Old, new, and lots of clues.
Zendaya sent a not-so-subtle bridal message through her “The Drama” press tour outfits, hinting that she may already be married to fiancé Tom Holland.
The 29-year-old actress revealed at Tuesday’s LA premiere that she and longtime stylist Law Roach arranged her look around the classic wedding rhyme: “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.”
“I was brainstorming with Law about what the theme costumes for this movie would be,” she told Variety on the red carpet. “I remembered this saying: ‘Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.’ So this is my ‘old.’ ”
What does the problem look like? Vivienne Westwood’s ivory bridal dress, which she first wore at the 2015 Oscars at the age of 18, became a hot topic after then-Fashion Police co-host Giuliana Rancic made offensive comments about her hair in dreadlocks.
Roach highlighted the revelation on Wednesday by posting an original photo from 2015 on his Instagram Stories with the caption “old stuff.”
For “What Is Borrowed,” Zendaya turned to music copyright. At the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards on March 12, she wore a vintage cachet dress that was a spin on the asymmetrical Eugene Alexander dress made famous by Whitney Houston in a 1987 photo shoot.
The same style later became established in pop culture when Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw wore this version in the 2008 film Sex and the City.
At the event, observant fans also spotted what appeared to be a gold wedding ring next to her engagement ring.
“Something new” arrived in the form of a sculptural Louis Vuitton midi dress by Nicolas Ghesquière from the house’s Fall 2026 collection, which debuted in Paris just last week. Roach posted a photoshoot of the look on Instagram on Sunday ahead of the Oscars, captioning it “The Night Before.”
and “Something blue?” That’s the sheer floral Alexander McQueen halter dress Zendaya wore on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” paired with pastel blue pumps. On Monday, she teased an AI-generated wedding photo of herself and Tom Holland, but stopped short of denying the marriage.
The bridal breadcrumb trail has been building for weeks. While Roach first claimed at the Actor’s Awards on March 1 that “the wedding has already taken place,” Zendaya did not attend the couple’s ceremony in Las Vegas on March 14, instead signing a marriage certificate and joking that it was her “last name reveal,” further fueling the speculation.
Zendaya and Holland met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016 and were photographed kissing for the first time in Los Angeles in 2021. Holland proposed between Christmas and New Year’s Eve in 2024, and Zendaya unveiled a 5-carat diamond ring at the 2025 Golden Globes.
The couple, who share a house in London, are set to reunite on screen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which opens in theaters on July 31st.
Whatever the truth, this cat-and-mouse game is a well-timed advertisement for “The Drama,” in which Zendaya and co-star Robert Pattinson play an engaged couple in turmoil. The A24 movie will be released in theaters on April 3rd.
