It looks like “Euphoria” is coming to an end.
Zendaya, who leads the cast of the HBO series, teased the news during an interview on “The Drew Barrymore Show.” When Barrymore asked if the upcoming third season would be the last, Zendaya replied, “I think so, yeah.” Barrymore added, “I never want to ask that question, because that’s not my job. But is it something I’ll enjoy knowing[that the end is coming]?” Zendaya repeated, “Yes, I think so too.” “You need to know Mind Frame[before you watch it],” Barrymore said, to which Zendaya replied, “The end of it is near.”
HBO declined to comment on whether “Euphoria” will end. Although there has been no official confirmation, fans have predicted, and many in the entertainment industry have long assumed, that the upcoming installation will conclude the Sam Levinson-produced series. There was a four-year hiatus between Seasons 2 and 3, during which the cast, which also included Zendaya as well as Sidney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and Colman Domingo, became increasingly sought after in Hollywood, appearing in several other high-profile projects. The first two seasons were set in high school, so season 3 will feature a time jump that follows the characters into adulthood. The official logline reads, “A group of childhood friends grapple with the virtues of faith, the possibility of salvation, and the problem of evil.”
Levinson wrote and directed Euphoria and will executive produce alongside Ashley Levinson, Sarah E. White, Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Drake, Adele “Future” Noor, Ron Leshem, Dafna Levin, Hadas Moses Lichtenstein, Mirit Toovi, Tomila Yardeni, Yoram Mokadi and Gary Lennon.
