Zac Brown makes cruise ship history at his new venue at Margaritaville at Sea!
The 47-year-old three-time Grammy Award winner is teaming up with a cruise line to debut “Same Boat,” the first artist-curated music venue at sea. It’s a play on Zac Brown Band’s 2021 hit song of the same name, which featured Jimmy Buffett.
Cruisers can look forward to experiencing the unique venue on the cruise line’s new Beachcomber ship, the largest ship in the company’s fleet, scheduled to make its maiden voyage from Miami in January 2027.
The new ship’s largest live music venue, Same Boat, will be a hub where cruisers can enjoy live music, cocktails and “a front row seat to world-class performances,” according to a release.

The company said Brown is involved in the curation process for “every detail” of the new space, including artwork, design and music programming. The venue will reflect the Zac Brown Band frontman’s personal style and the band’s musical influences.
In curating the space, Brown says she immediately knew she wanted to create something that “truly captured the spirit of Margaritaville at Sea,” rather than just “designing a room.”
“Same Boat’s design aims to bring the carefree energy that has always brought my music to life,” he says. “Every detail, from the stage to the ocean, reflects a part of my own journey. It all comes together to create a place where people can connect, share a drink, listen to great music, and feel that incredible sense of freedom that can only be experienced at a show or outdoors. That’s my kind of medicine.”

To celebrate the partnership, the cruise line is launching the Fly & Float Ultimate Giveaway with Brown. This will give two fans the opportunity to see the Zac Brown Band perform during a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas in January 2026. The giveaway prize also includes a spot on the Beachcomber’s maiden voyage in January 2027.

Ahead of the Las Vegas residency, Brown exclusively tells PEOPLE that fans can expect to get an up-close look at his own personal journey at the band’s residency performances in December and January.

“I’m going to tell you a very personal story that I haven’t really talked about before, about what drove me to music and how music has saved my life over and over again,” he told PEOPLE in July. The band’s latest album, Love and Fear, is scheduled to be released on Dec. 5, the first day of the residency, and will feature collaborations with music icons like Snoop Dogg and Dolly Parton.
Brown added that the series of shows is “something that people don’t expect, and I love throwing people a good curveball.”
