Kylie Kelsey isn’t kidding.
The mother of four combats badmouthing in her children with the old-fashioned method of cleaning their mouths with soap.
“Wyatt tried the word bitch a few times,” the 34-year-old revealed on Wednesday’s episode of her husband Jason Kelsey and brother-in-law Travis Kelsey’s New Heights podcast.
Kylie recalled a time when her and Jason’s 6-year-old daughter “used the word in the proper context” and explained that she had closed the front door while her sister Elliott, 4, was inside.
“And she said, ‘Bitch,’ and closed it really slowly and said it at the same time,” Kylie said with a laugh.
“And as soon as I opened the door, she said, ‘I’m sorry!'” Instant buyer’s remorse. Immediately. Because she knew what was coming: It was a bar of soap. ”
Kylie didn’t wash out Wyatt’s mouth “at the time,” but that’s because she took responsibility “very quickly.”
“But she’s had it happen before, so she knows I’m not kidding about soaps,” Kylie made sure to point out, insisting she “can’t make empty threats to kids” because “it’s a waste of time.”
Jason, 38, said he didn’t know if bar soap would help his potty-mouthed 9-year-old son, but his wife said, “Maybe I’ll look up pictures of people without dentures and see what she thinks about that.”
Kylie and the retired NFL star married in April 2018 and are parents to daughters Bennett, 2, and Finley, almost 9 months old.
In November 2024, when a pregnant Kylie launched her podcast, Not Gonna Lie, she vowed that she was “never going to stop swearing in front of[my]kids.”
In fact, she admitted that her children “hear the F-word almost every day.” But she claimed they “know it’s ‘adult language’.”
