Yerin Ha and Luke Thompson brought a touch of Bridgerton romance to the Madrid red carpet on Tuesday in coordinated looks.
The pair attended a masquerade-themed press event for season 4 of the Netflix drama, posing side by side in complementary shades of red. Ha, who plays Sophie Bek opposite Thompson’s Benedict Bridgerton, wore a tight-fitting strappy dress covered in sparkling red embellishments. Thompson chose a black suit with brown stripes and red piping.
Their co-starring role reflects the on-screen love story that is central to this season of the show. The first four episodes of Bridgerton season 4 were released last month, with the remaining episodes set to arrive on February 26th.
In recent interviews, both actors reflected on their chemistry throughout the season. Thompson told Shondaland about stepping into the lead role, “We went from exploring Benedict as a peripheral character, a character with a nice, shiny front who deals with customers, to1771442045pushing him into the lead role throughout the season. It’s so perfect because it allows us to put pressure on his weaker parts: commitment, love, falling in love with someone and fully engaging with them and going straight through to the end” to do something. ”
Ha, who joined the series this season, described Thompson as reliable. “Luke was on[the show]for a long time, so he was a real pillar for me and gave me space to experience things on my own, but he also said he would be there for me whenever I needed him,” she said.
The actors also noted the trust required to portray Benedict and Sophie’s escalating intimacy. “That’s when I got to know Luke as a person, and I feel like our intimacy really began in terms of getting to know each other more and trusting each other,” Ha said.
