Hussie Harrison (‘Yellowstone’) has joined the cast of Fox’s upcoming reboot of ‘Baywatch.’ The actor joins a growing cast that includes Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin, David Chokachi, and the just-announced Thaddeus LaGrone.
In the new Baywatch movie, Harrison will play Nat, who, according to her character description, is “a former adopted child turned Olympian who holds the highest standards when it comes to lifeguards. Intelligent, driven, and fiercely loyal, she is Hobie’s right-hand man and closest friend. Nat holds everyone to the same high standards that she holds to the same high standards that she holds to her relationships, both on and off the beach.”
Harrison’s credits include the thriller “Dangerous Animals,” as well as upcoming films such as the modern western thriller “The Rescue,” the neo-noir “Deep Eddy,” and the thriller “Raven.” On “Yellowstone,” she reappeared for three seasons as barrel racer Laramie. She also appeared in HBO’s It’s Florida, Man and Shane Gillis’ Netflix series Tires.
The new Baywatch series, scheduled to air on FOX during the 2026-2027 television season, will see Amell play Hobie Buchannon, the son of original Baywatch protagonist Mitch Buchannon, Belkin as Charlie Vail, Chokachi as Cody Madison, reprising his role from the original series, and Labrone as Brad. Fox and producer Freemantle recently held a day-long casting call to find additional actors for the new show.
“Hobie Buchannon, the beloved wild child from the original series, follows in the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch, and becomes the captain of Baywatch. Hobie’s world is forever changed when his unknown daughter, Charlie, shows up on his doorstep, eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy and join her father as a Baywatch lifeguard. OG heartthrob Cody Madison is now the captain of Baywatch. He runs Shoreline. Unofficially, he works at Baywatch’s official bar and grill and still wears red trunks on his occasional lifesaving shift, providing a second home to his fellow lifeguards and a friend and mentor who always gives them free wings after the big save.
In September 2025, Fox decided to order 12 episodes of Baywatch for the 2026-2027 broadcast season. Matt Nix will serve as showrunner and executive producer of the reboot alongside McG, Michael Burke, Greg Bonnan, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz. McG will also direct the series premiere episode.
The series is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle. Fox Entertainment Global will retain domestic distribution rights, while Fremantle will manage international sales.
Mr. Harrison is repped by Mr. Gersh, Range Media Partners and Johnson, Shapiro, Slewett & Cole.
