Ian Bouchen is back at Taylor Sheridan Vess, with the original “Yellowstone” star booking the regular role in the series in “Liones” season 3.
Variety has exclusively learned that Bochen will appear in the third season of the Paramount + military drama, and production is underway at SGS studios in Texas. On October 1st, it was officially confirmed that “Liones” had been renewed in the third season, almost a year after the Season 2 premiere.
Bochen plays Grady. Grady is described as “a book Delta Force operator and primary K9 handler skilled in battlefield tactics.” He will also join the cast, including Zoe Saldanya, Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Kelly, Leila de Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez, Dave Anabre, Jill Wagner, Lamonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hebert, Jonah Wharton, Sad Luckyenville and Hannah Love Larnier.
This marks Bohen’s fourth project involving Sheridan, his role in “Yellowstone” and Sheridan’s feature “Wind River.” Bohen also played a role in “Sicario: Day of the Soldad,” which Sheridan wrote but did not direct. He also joined frequent collaborators Annable, Garrett, Jordan, Hébert and Luckinbill, the latest addition to the “Liones” cast, who worked with Sheridan on multiple projects.
Bohen played Wrangler Ryan most famously in all five seasons of “Yellowstone.” His other television roles include “Teen Wolf”, “Mad Men” and “Chicago PD.” Aside from the aforementioned film roles, he appears in features such as The Dark Knight Rises, Wyatt Earp, and Pearl Harbor. He then executive produced and starred in the series “To The Rescue.” This is an international co-production sold at MIPCOM with zero gravity.
He is represented by Zero Gravity and lawyer Jason Hendler.
“Liones” is one of several Sheridan shows currently airing on Paramount+. The prolific creator also had the second season of the oilfield drama Landman, which will appear in November and season 4 of “The Mayor of Kingstown” in October, and season 3 of “Tulsa King” debuted on September 21st. He is currently preparing for the latest “Yellowstone” prequel, “1944,” and a spin-off of Beth and Lip starring Kelly Riley and Cole Hauser.
“Lionars” is an executive produced by Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Saldanya, Kidman, Lomballe, Bobyari, David Hatkin, Zilwagner, David Lemawitz, Gaierkosinski, Michael Friedman and Keith Cox. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
