The teaser for Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adults has been released, offering the first comprehensive look at the scale and tone of one of the most anticipated Indian films of 2026.
Following the birthday release of Yash’s character Raya and character posters of Nayanthara’s Gangaa, Kiara Advani’s Nadia, Huma Qureshi’s Elizabeth, Rukmini Vasant’s Melisa and Tara Sutaria’s Rebecca, the teaser expands the world of the film into multiple settings and eras. The footage shifts from a circus environment to an East Asian-inspired backdrop, establishing a dark aesthetic supported by action choreography.
The focus of the presentation is on Yash’s physical transformation for the role, which is showcased in various appearances in the teaser.
Yash made his film debut with the Kannada film ‘Jambada Hudugi’ in 2007 and rose to wide fame with ‘Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari’ in 2014. He rose to pan-India fame with the two-part ‘KGF’ series, with ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ becoming the highest-grossing film in Indian film history. As an actor, co-writer and co-producer on “Toxic,” he continues his pattern of pursuing ambitious big projects.
Written by Yash and directed by Jeethu Mohandas, ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Adults’ was shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions also released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and other languages.
The film features cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, composer Ravi Basroor, editor Ujjwal Kulkarni and production designer TP Abid. The action sequences were choreographed by Hollywood’s J.J. Perry, known for “John Wick,” along with action directors Anbarib and Kecak Kampakdee.
Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash through KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Adults’ is slated to hit theaters on March 19, the same day as another notable film, ‘Dhulandar: The Revenge’ opens.
