Pamela Anderson told Andy Cohen in an interview on SiriusXM Radio (via TMZ) that it was “uncomfortable” to be so close to Seth Rogen at the Golden Globes earlier this month. Rogen won two awards at the awards ceremony for the Apple TV comedy “The Studio,” including Best Actor in a Comedy Series and Best Actor in a Comedy Series. Anderson remains in a relationship with Rogen after executive producing and starring in Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, a 2022 limited series about Anderson’s tumultuous romance with Tommy Lee and how their unauthorized sex tape was released.
“Seth Rogen…he did ‘Pam & Tommy’ without talking to me,” Anderson told Cohen. “I was like, hmmm, how can someone turn a difficult time in your life into a television series? And I’m a living, breathing human being here.
“He was in the pit at the Golden Globes. We were close. I felt like I wasn’t chopping liver here. I felt weird about that,” Anderson continued about Rogen. “I’ve been very busy with work. I’ve done five movies in the past year. Sometimes it hits you and you feel kind of depressed. It was a bit of a bad feeling. Eventually, hopefully, he will contact me to apologize. , that doesn’t matter. When you’re a public figure, you’re told you don’t have a right to privacy. But your darkest, deepest secrets and tragedies shouldn’t be fair to a TV series. That pissed me off a little bit.
Anderson concluded that while she didn’t go “head over heels” to speak to Rogen directly, she intended to do so “in her heart,” meaning she “really told him what I thought.”
Speaking to Variety in 2023, Anderson said there were “assholes” behind “Pam & Tommy,” adding, “Salt in the wound. … You still owe me a public apology.” The show starred Lily James as Anderson, Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee, and Rogen as Lande Gauthier, the man behind the couple’s sex tape. The series was nominated for 10 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Limited Series, with Rogen, James, and Rogen all nominated for their performances.
