rundown
Neither Zendaya nor Tom Holland attended the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards. The actors haven’t been nominated for any projects this year, but that could change next year. Both have multiple films scheduled to be released in 2026, two of which they will co-star in.
Zendaya and Tom Holland have a big year ahead of them, with multiple projects set to be announced in the coming months. But they’re spending the first Sunday of 2026 away from the spotlight. Neither actor was photographed on the red carpet at tonight’s Critics Choice Awards. Their absence is understandable as they have no projects nominated for awards and have not given presentations.
Things could change next year, with the third season of Euphoria set to be released in April, as well as Zendaya’s long-awaited film The Drama, starring Robert Pattinson. She and Holland also appeared in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (released July 31) and The Odyssey (released July 17), both of which could generate awards buzz.
In November 2024, Zendaya spoke to Vanity Fair about moving on with her fiancé. “It’s actually strangely comfortable. It’s more like second nature. I feel extra safe with someone who’s acting next to me. I love working with him. He’s so talented and so passionate about what he does. He always gives 1000 percent to things, even if he’s completely exhausted. I really appreciate that in him. That’s how we met, literally, at the chemistry reading.
Zendaya says of her chosen projects, “It’s not strategic. I feel like the right parts find me the same way I find them. Sometimes you’re developing something and it falls through the cracks. “I remember that project that I was working on that fell through. We were supposed to shoot it, but it fell through a month ago. And then we got the script for ‘Euphoria,’ and we ended up shooting it within that framework. I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ Thank God that movie was a flop! ”But at the time we were like, “Damn.” Actually, there was a reason for everything. I try to follow my feelings. To be honest, it’s really hard for me to finish a script because I get sidetracked so easily. If something makes me read to the end and keeps me hooked, I know that’s what I want to do. ”
