Why Todd Chrisley is devastated if Savanna had a small wedding

Todd Chrisley would not be happy if his daughter Savannah had just run away and had a small wedding. So, at least according to his wife Julie.

When she appeared on an episode of Rock rock rock on the Savannah Chrisley podcast released on Tuesday, August 26th, Julie, 52, opened up about how the 57-year-old 57 would react if Savannah didn’t have a big wedding while Savannah wanted to finish off her 28-year-old daughter.

Savannah appears to be single now after people confirmed her split with ex-Robert Shiver. The two went on separate paths together in April for nearly two years. Before the trembling, Savannah was engaged to former hockey player Nick Cardiless, who passed away in September 2023. She also quietly dated country singer Nate Smith.

Julie admits that she “doesn’t be shocked” just by saying that when her daughter escapes and returns to marry someone presumably older than her, she tied the knot.

“If I did that, will you be devastated?” Savannah asked before her mother replied, “Dad would have a heart attack.”

Julie said, “If that was what you really wanted, no, I wouldn’t be devastated, but your dad would. He always wanted that beautiful wedding for his girl, so I would be devastated for him.

The pair added that if Savannah does that, the only hope for her father to have that big wedding will be Chloe.

Todd’s son, Kyle and his former Angela Johnson biological daughter Chloe, 12, were legally adopted in 2016, making Todd and Julie legal parents and the youngest Chrisley brother. The adoption came amid Kyle’s continued personal struggle.

Savannah shared how she sees knot tying, including small weddings in Italy and the Cayman Islands. “Look, that’s the problem… I used to want something like a huge, big wedding, but the less I get it, the less I’m not going to do it,” she added, adding, “You spend that money on a day.”

The wedding discussion came after Savanna asked her mother.

As Julie said frankly, “It’s just you don’t have a type. You literally just go from the edge of the spectrum to the other end. And I really don’t know. I really don’t know.

“Those who are successful, just good, decent people, their core, good, decent people, people a little older than you, I’m not saying… nothing more.

But Julie pointed out that Savanna is a “bulldog”, so if someone is too kind she might “walk on them.”

Savannah said, “When I’m with the right person… I get softer, and I am. That’s it.

Julie argues, “But it’s not real to think that it’s every day,” and the Savannah generation believes, “it’s perfect every day, and that’s not the case with regard to relationships.”

Julie’s podcast appearances were confirmed by people at the time, just one day after she and Todd were officially released from prison on May 28th, and received a full pardon from President Donald Trump.

The couple reported that they would separate prisons in January 2023 after being convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud the previous year.
