Teyana Taylor still doesn’t call Aaron Pierre her boyfriend.
The “Gonna Love Me” singer addressed her relationship with the “Mufasa: The Lion King” star on Wednesday, but declined to label their romance at this time.
“If that’s something I decide to say, it’s something we’ll say together,” she told The Hollywood Reporter when discussing their relationship.
But the One Battle After Another star, 34, called Pierre, 31, “apple pie” and described them as “each other’s safe space.”
Taylor and Pierre first sparked romance rumors in February when they were spotted sitting together at the American Black Film Festival Honors.
Pierre later shared a photo on his Instagram on February 2nd when he and Taylor attended the 15 Percent Pledge Gala.
In May 2025, Taylor further fueled romance rumors by sharing a photo of the two of them on a merry-go-round during the 2025 Oscars ceremony.
Taylor captioned a photo with Pierre: “Oscar night in black and white with no gray areas. 🤍.”
The relationship was confirmed in June when a video of the two stars locking lips began to circulate on social media.
The clip was filmed around the same time Taylor surprised Pierre with a special 31st birthday party.
She also wished him a happy birthday on social media with yet another flirty post that showed a collection of cozy couple photos.
