overview
Taylor Swift didn’t appear in Selena Gomez’s rumoured Bachelorette trip or Travis Kels’ “The Kingdom Premiere” this weekend. Swift caught the public’s attention.
Two important people in Taylor Swift’s life, her boyfriend, Travis Kelse and longtime friend Serena Gomez, held a special event this weekend, but the singer managed to stay under the radar, and neither was seen.
Gomez took a photo with a group of girlfriends in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico yesterday, venting rumors that she was on a single trip. Swift was not among the women who jumped up on the yacht, but could be somewhere else away from the paparazzi lens.
She and Gomez are skilled at keeping their relationship private. As Gomez explained in WSJ magazine in January 2020, “I don’t necessarily feel the need to post about everything we do because I have so much friendship with Taylor, so people don’t know, so she showed up to me in a way I didn’t expect. But we respect each other in everything.”
That same day, Kelse celebrated the Kingdom’s release, a doxory about his NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs. His parents, Ed and Donna Kelse, joined him at the premiere. There were no reports of Swift being there, but she was in the hearts of people. Film director Kristen Rappas told reporters that the singer was “very supportive” and featured in it. “(She) approved of all her image and likeness,” said the trumpet.
On the red carpet, Ed told people that the happiness of his youngest son comes from Swift. “There’s no doubt about that,” he said. He called them “clearly two people are in great love.”
Swift can keep her place private when she chooses to spend most of 2025 in the public eye. Her choice to avoid being discovered in the events of Gomez and Querce may reflect her desire to protect those relationships and be in the spotlight on her loved ones.
The singer will return to Limelight later this fall when she released her album The Life of a Showgirl on October 3rd.
