Travis Kelse played the first game of the season with the Kansas City Chief. Taylor Swift was not present. She is expected to play in her first match at Arrowhead Stadium.
On Saturday, Travisquels joined Brazil’s Kansas City Chiefs to face the Los Angeles Chargers. However, Taylor Swift was not in the stands despite being Kelse’s first game since the engagement was announced in August. The week-long match at Collington’s Arena in Sao Paulo is part of the league’s international expansion, with several games planned for the season overseas.
Given the importance of the moment, fans were surprised that Swift was not available to support her new fiancé. According to TMZ, the majority of the reason the ERAS Tour Star didn’t make it is that it was a really short trip. As the NFL season began, the Chiefs had to return home after the game, and it seemed like their wife or girlfriend hadn’t been on hand because of the event.

Also, Swift may be very busy with her own projects. Because she recently announced that her next album, The Life of a Showgirl, will be released next month.
Kelse is scheduled to play the Philadelphia Eagles at the team’s home stadium Arrowhead on September 14th. Historically, Swift appeared in a game on Arrowhead, and sources told Page 6 in late 2024 that they were not comfortable in the away game due to security concerns.
“Unless she knows the venue closely, she will not go anywhere and is thoroughly scouted and secured in advance,” the insider said.
According to the Bleacher Report, there are often rules about what players can do the night before an away game. It is essentially a work trip for Kelse and there is not much space for fun.
