Swift released one of the most talked-about albums of 2025, The Life of a Showgirl, which was released in October, past the 2026 eligibility period (August 31, 2024 to August 30, 2025). She could be nominated at the 2027 ceremony.
Ahead of Sunday’s show, Grammy executive producer Ben Winston addressed rumors of Swift’s attendance in an interview with Hits magazine. “The only reason people think Taylor might perform or come is because Hits decided to print this song this week and put it on the hit list, and it got picked up all over the world,” he said. “But Hitz just completely made it up. And now I’m being asked by you as if it’s real, as if it was made up in your office! It’s really a complete rumor!”

Swift has kept a low profile since releasing the documentary series “The End of an Era” in December. On the Monday after the Golden Globe Awards, she was photographed having dinner with Travis Kelce in Beverly Hills, but the pair were not seen at the ceremony or its afterparty.
On December 16, a source told Us Weekly that Swift is “constantly percolating ideas” about her music career, but is not “locked in” to the Life of a Showgirls tour. “We’ve come up with some ideas, but for now she’s enjoying her time off.”
Industry insiders expressed a similar opinion, saying, “We are not aware of Showgirls’ tour plans.” “Ellas’ tour was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so she’s not going to put pressure on herself to make everything that big and ambitious,” the source added. “She makes sure the next piece is special in its own right, but she’s also realistic about it.”
Swift and Kelsey are also reportedly planning a wedding. “Taylor thinks it’s cute[that he’s involved]and they’ve bonded over it,” the first source said.
The singer confirmed during the press tour for The Life of a Showgirl that she has no plans to tour at this time. She told BBC Radio 1’s Greg James that she had no intention of returning to the road. “I’m going to be really honest with you,” she said. “When I want to do it again, it’s exhausting because I want to do it really well again.”
A few days later, in an interview with BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills, she was quick to deny speculation that she would quit her music career after getting married. “This is an incredibly offensive statement. People don’t get married to quit their jobs,” she said.
Kelce further added that he has been very supportive of his career, saying, “I love the person I’m with because he loves what I do and he loves how fulfilled I am by making art and making music. That’s the coolest thing about Trav. He’s so passionate about what he does and he loves what I do. There’s no time for him to say, ‘I’m really upset that you’re still doing music, doing the music that I signed up for,’ because he knew you loved him and thought you’d stop doing that. ”
