Prince Harry and King Charles III haven’t seen each other in seven months, but they won’t run into each other during the monarch’s upcoming visit to the United States.
“When we talk about state visits, especially when the king travels as a guest of a head of state, every minute counts,” People reported on Tuesday.
A source told the magazine that Harry, 41, “is aware of what’s going on.”
The Duke of Sussex, who lives in Montecito, California, with wife Meghan Markle and their two children, reportedly “would not seek” to spend time with his father from April 27 to 30 “under the circumstances”.
Representatives for Charles and Harry did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The royal family similarly distanced itself when Prince Harry crossed the pond in January for a privacy trial against the British press.
At the time, Page Six heard that the ex-military pilot was having a “very tough stay” and was making the additional duties “very difficult.”
Another source said Prince Charles, 77, will be in Scotland during Prince Harry’s trip, but that Her Majesty is avoiding active litigation, People reported.
The father-son duo last met in September 2025, when Prince Harry enjoyed a “private tea” with Charles.
The sit-in was the first face-to-face meeting since the February 2024 meeting.
As for Prince Harry’s strained relationship with his younger brother Prince William, the siblings haven’t been in touch for years.
The last time they were in the same room was at the funerals of Queen Elizabeth II and Sir Robert Fellows in 2022 and 2024, respectively.
The 43-year-old Prince of Wales and his wife Kate, Duchess of Wales have been at odds with Prince Harry since he resigned from royal duties in 2020 and moved to the United States.
