Pete Davidson told the crowd of Machine Gun Kelly (aka Colson Baker) at the Daily Frontrow Fashion Media Awards, “I Love This Man,” calling him “the Great Dad.”
“I think Colson is my oldest best friend in this tough biz,” Davidson told the starry crowd, including fashion royals like Iman, Zach Posen and Tommy Hilfiger.
“For the pound, I think he is the most talented person I’ve ever met. He can rap, play guitar, rock, act,” the original “SNL” comic meditated.
Davidson, who gives birth to a baby with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, also praised MGK’s parenting skills. The star has a new baby along with Megan Fox and a 16-year-old daughter, Cathy, from another relationship who was in the crowd.
“He’s a great dad,” Davidson said.
Pete, 31, continued to be a fellow musician. “He’s always set an example and I’m really grateful that there are people who can call me to film S-T, or that I can talk about how the world works and how the world works.
The tattoo rap rocker, who has his new album “Lost Americana,” told the crowd, “the style can be unconventional. My name is unfamiliar, but I am completely unattended in terms of reliability with what I sing and what I wear.”
Kelly was given the Style Icon Award, and said the honor was a sign of “taking a heavier step into fashion, design, campaigning and modeling.”
“I’m 6 foot 4 and smoke an insane amount of cigarettes, so check out a lot of those boxes,” he joked.
Kelly calls herself an “embodied version of the American dream,” and even cracks about going to the Met Gala.
“I was a broken kid from the Midwest… (this) really confirmed my idea that the Met Gala must have sent invitations to the wrong address,” said Kelly, who grew up in Ohio.
Also recognized at the event were Mary Alice Stephenson, Sarah Harrelson of Caltude, designers Fernando Garcia, Oscar de La Renta and Montse’s Laura Kim.
