Duchess Meghan may be heading back across the pond sooner than expected.
The Duchess of Sussex could return to the UK for the first time in four years this summer to support her husband, Prince Harry, one year before the Invictus Games, which start in July.
This international multi-sport event is scheduled to be held in Birmingham, England in 2027.
It’s unclear whether Markle, 44, will be attending the Olympics with her husband, but she did visit the previous ceremonies a year before the games will be held in Canada and Germany in 2025 and 2023, respectively.
“It’s too early to say. No plans have been finalized yet,” a source told Page Six about Markle’s potential overseas travel.
If the “Suits” alum attends this summer’s countdown celebrations, it will be her first return to the UK since Queen Elizabeth II passed away in September 2022.
Page Six reached out to a representative for the Sussexes for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
Mr Markle’s future attendance will depend on whether the 41-year-old Duke of Sussex regains safe access during his visit to his home country.
Earlier this month, Page Six reported that Prince Harry had scored a small victory towards restoring order in Britain.
The Royal Family and VIP Executive Committee Labec launched a new risk assessment and determined that the authors of ‘Spare’ met the criteria for public protection.

After Prince Harry and Markle resigned from royal duties in 2020, they were stripped of their taxpayer-funded armed security. The couple have not taken their children Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, back to the UK since attending Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.
In May 2025, the father of two lost his appeal over security issues.
After the loss, Harry said RAVEC “failed to follow its own processes that were mandatory for me that apply to all other high-risk, high-profile individuals.”
He also wrote to the Home Secretary “urging him to urgently investigate this matter and review the RAVEC process” and vowed to continue fighting the case.
Prince Harry said: “I have revealed some shocking truths, starting with the fact that the Royal Family is the key decision-maker at RAVEC and my sole representative on matters relating to my safety.”
The duke, who is estranged from his father Charles III and brother Prince William, blamed the royal family for the issue going on for so long.
