Meghan King temporarily lost custody of her three children to ex-husband Jim Edmonds after he allegedly gave one of the twins unprescribed medication and asked the school nurse to do the same.
Page Six reports that the “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum allegedly gave Ritalin to Hayes, 7, on multiple occasions even though he was not diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Our sources say King, 41, asked a nurse at Hayes’ school to administer the medication, which prompted the involvement of Child Protective Services (CPS).
Edmonds, 55, and his wife, Courtney Edmonds, were at home in Tennessee when they received the call from CPS, so they flew back to Missouri.
Sources said King is now allowed two supervised visits a week with Hayes, his twin brother Hart, and his 8-year-old sister Aspen.
We hear that a temporary restraining order has been granted and a more permanent solution will be decided at a court hearing scheduled for December 9th.
Representatives for King and Jim did not immediately respond to repeated requests for comment from Page Six.
Earlier Thursday, Kelly Dodd posted similar claims on social media, citing a conversation with Dr. King.
Dodd called King an “amazing” parent and added that she hopes her former co-star “gets her baby back.”
King and Jim married in October 2014. Five years later, King filed for divorce from the retired MLB star following a cheating scandal, and the divorce was finalized in May 2021.
The ex-lovers initially agreed to share joint custody of their children, but a number of incidents have occurred since then.
The most recent incident occurred in May, when Kourtney called police for allegedly trespassing on her and King’s property.
To responding officers, King claimed that Jim was “incredibly emotionally abusive” and that the situation had been “misrepresented.”
“Meghan made a brief phone call to her daughter from the doorway, never stepped inside, slammed the door in her daughter’s face, and calmly left her belongings on the porch,” a rep for the former Bravolebrity told Us at the time.
“As she left, she was unexpectedly intercepted by multiple police vehicles and subjected to what she perceived to be unnecessary hostile treatment.”
