At the 2026 Academy Awards, Kylie Jenner went where few people would in the public eye, choosing to wear a dress she’s worn before. Well, in a sense.
Jenner shared a detailed video of her look to her 390 million Instagram followers and 59.7 million TikTok followers, even though she skipped the red carpet to get to her seat as quickly as possible with her Oscar-nominated boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet.
Moving through the minimalist room, Jenner wore a red second-skin dress with an actual keyhole cut out and moved towards the camera with her hair tossed up. She captioned her Instagram, “Jessica who?” It references the fictional character Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit and her equally sexy red dress, tagging the brand and designers behind the look: Schiaparelli, Danielle Rosebery and Lorraine Schwartz.
If this dress looks a little familiar, it’s probably because Jenner wore the exact same style in bright, neutral hues at Schiaparelli’s Paris Fashion Week show in September 2023.
This “re-wear” clearly proves how much she enjoyed wearing couture styles. The dress is Kylie’s signature. Clinging to an hourglass silhouette, the plunging neckline is further exposed with Schiaparelli’s ironic take on the classic lock-shaped keyhole detail.
Further details are achieved through the overall decoration, which was initially a neutral beige but has now been upgraded to red. In a press release shared on Monday morning, the house confirmed that the gown was made with more than 730,000 red bugle beads and took artisans more than 6,000 hours of embroidery.
On Tuesday, Jenner shared a behind-the-scenes photo of herself getting ready in the dress, captioning it, “Glamour moment 🖤♥️.” The red look was just her first outfit of the night. She changed into a black McQueen dress for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
