Gigi and Bella Hadid returned to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway tonight, but one of their famous friends, who they modeled with when they debuted nearly a decade ago, is missing.
Kendall Jenner, who first walked the show in 2015, wasn’t on the runway tonight or seen in the audience. She has not spoken about the event or her decision to skip, but recent comments suggest that modeling work is not the main focus of her career.
In fact, Jenner, who runs 818 Tequila, was last seen in Texas this weekend at a brand event. The Dallas Observer reported that the model spent some time at the Happiest Hour of the “Tailgate with 818” party on Oct. 11.

She recently told Vogue that she was considering residential design as her only career. “I swear to God I’m going to quit everything and just design houses,” she said. “I’m not kidding.”
She has also dealt with anxiety before runway shows. In 2019, she told ELLE, “I was so nervous during the fashion show. When I was walking down the runway — and I’m speaking from experience — I was just thinking, ‘Walk straight! Walk straight!’ and just focus on that.” I was really nervous, especially when there were people I knew in the audience. But now I’m fine. I’m actually getting better at it. I like knowing who’s there. Before we come out, we take a quick peek at who’s in the audience. But it took a while to get to that point. ”
Jenner walked just one runway during Paris Fashion Week for L’Oréal’s Le Défille: A Celebration of Women’s Empowerment. This event occurred on September 29, 2025.
She told ELLE UK on October 10 that she was looking forward to spending time with the brand’s other ambassadors who modeled in the show. “L’Oréal has done an amazing job of curating an amazing group of women and I’m grateful to be a part of it,” she said. “Usually we shoot separately, so this moment when we all get together once a year feels really special. I’m really happy to be able to catch up with all the girls.”
She added, “There’s a sisterhood between all of us. The women are all really inspiring and you can feel that in the show. I grew up with a lot of sisters and this feels like an extension of that.”
