Gisele Bundchen reportedly limited her wedding guests to her immediate family for important reasons.
“Gisele didn’t feel the need to share the wedding with anyone outside of her family,” a source told People magazine in a statement published Saturday.
“It’s just a reflection of where she is in her life right now.”
The newspaper reported that the 45-year-old supermodel and the 38-year-old jiu-jitsu instructor tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at their home in Surfside, Florida.
Page Six was the first to report that the two had secretly married, with a source close to Valente saying: “He is thrilled to finally be married and have a child.”
Page Six confirmed in February that the alleged marriage took place after they welcomed their first child, whose name has not yet been revealed.
“After the baby was born, it felt natural to get married,” a source told the magazine.
“It wasn’t about any outside pressure or expectations. It was something she wanted for personal reasons and for her family.”
A source said the former Victoria’s Secret model is “very, very happy.”
The mother-of-three, who has children Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13, with ex-husband Tom Brady, enjoys a laid-back lifestyle.
“She loves the life she has built in Florida,” the source revealed, adding that she is “focused on her family, home life and a slower pace.”
“She has chosen her career and prioritizes creating a peaceful environment for her children,” they shared.
The source also shared that the couple is on the same page as they move into their new life together. “Joaquin came into her life at a moment when she was ready to start a slower, more grounded life,” the source said.
A source revealed that Valente and Bündchen were friends before their romance developed “naturally over time.”
“His calm, low-key approach to life is a perfect fit for her current situation,” the source concluded. “She focuses on family, balance and happiness.”
Representatives for Bundchen and Valente did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Bündchen, who divorced Brady in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage, began dating Valente in 2023 and made their relationship public in 2024.
A source told TMZ in October 2024 that the couple is expecting their first child.
Brady, who along with Benjamin and Vivian also has son Jack, 17, with ex Bridget Moynahan, posted a cryptic message on Instagram on Saturday following news of Bündchen’s marriage.
