David and Victoria Beckham are worried about their estranged son Brooklyn Beckham over Nicola Peltz’s prenuptial agreement.
The retired athlete, 50, and the former Spice Girls member, 51, are reportedly worried about what will happen if they divorce after Brooklyn was “fully absorbed” into his wife’s family and “alienated” from his own.
“If they parted ways, Brooklyn would be completely ostracized and unable to come up with a lot of cash,” the Sun claimed on Wednesday.
The “draconian” document signed by Brooklyn promises him half of what he and Peltz have built as a brand and forgoes any of the actress’ family assets.
A source said David and Victoria are “heartbroken” and Victoria, 26, feels like she’s being “imprisoned”.
The source added: “His future is completely in the hands of the Pelzes.” The Beckhams have a net worth of $673 million, while the Pelzes have a net worth of $1.6 billion.
The outlet claimed in an Instagram Story on Monday that Victoria was “completely devastated” and “in tears” after Brooklyn lashed out at her and David.
Councilors Victoria, David, Brooklyn and Peltz did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
In a viral rant, the “Cooking with Brooklyn” star accused her parents of trying to “control” Peltz and “ruin” her relationship with him.
“No matter how hard we try to unite, my wife has consistently been treated with contempt by our family,” he wrote. “My mother has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable.”
Brooklyn recalled how, hours before the wedding, loved ones allegedly reminded Peltz, 31, that she was “not blood related” and “not family.”
The two married in April 2022 after dating for two years, and Page Six reported at the time that they were having premarital sex.
At the time, rumors were swirling that the bride had clashed with her mother-in-law, from a dress fiasco to a “terribly hurtful” first dance stunt, both of which Brooklyn referenced in her rant.
But what Victoria found most “heartbreaking” was the final sentence Brooklyn uploaded to social media: “All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
According to Mirror UK, the declaration implies that fashion designers will not be involved in the lives of their future grandchildren.
Brooklyn and Peltz have been particularly vocal about wanting to have many children, with Brooklyn telling Entertainment Tonight in 2022 that they’d like to have “about 10” someday.
Although Victoria and David have not directly addressed their eldest son’s bombshell, Brooklyn’s brother Cruz liked an Instagram video that poked fun at the show.
