Brittany Cartwright is radiant and cries happy tears every time she looks at herself in the mirror.
The “Valley” star exclusively told us she’s been overwhelmed with emotion in the weeks following her recent “mommy makeover.” The makeover surgery included removing breast implants originally purchased by her estranged husband Jax Taylor to give her a new, more natural look.
“I’m so swollen right now,” she said while promoting her partnership with Clorox. “There’s only two and a half weeks left, so I can’t wait to watch the footage every day, every week, because I’m going to be swollen for a long time. So every week, every day, every time I take a shower, I cry in the mirror. I’m so happy.”
Cartwright, 35, said her tears were all part of a journey of physical and emotional healing, representing her newfound confidence after overcoming a painful breakup with Taylor in the public eye.
The couple, who married in 2019 after co-starring on Vanderpump Rules, announced their separation in February 2024 after months of tension, much of which is reflected in Bravo’s The Valley. (Taylor announced her exit from the show in July, but Cartwright continues to appear on the reality series.)
For now, Cartwright is focused on himself and is unapologetic about it.
“[The mother transformation]feels like the most personal thing I’ve done in a long time,” she says. “I’m not going to lie, there was a little bit of mom guilt in it, but it’s something I wasn’t expecting.”
The reality star, who shares three-year-old son Cruise with Taylor, admits her recovery has made it temporarily difficult to keep up with caring for her healthy son.
“Me and Cruz, our relationship is very hugging, very loving, playing all day long, him jumping on me because he’s a little boy, and all that,” she explains.
“So my mom felt a little bit guilty because I couldn’t do it. But I was getting better and better every day…I feel like he knew that and noticed me as well.”
Cartwright chose to have her implants reduced in size, but still maintains her signature sexy figure.
“Before, my breasts were so big that I couldn’t even move from side to side,” she says. “I still have big breasts, because I still wanted big breasts, let’s be real, but they’re much smaller and I feel so much lighter. I finally feel like I’ve grown so much that I feel as good on the inside as I do on the outside.”
Fans have flooded the Bravo star with messages of encouragement ever since she revealed the details of her transformation, which she says meant the world.
“This is something I’ve wanted to do for years, so it wasn’t a decision I made on a whim,” she says. “And the fact that we’re getting so much support for this work is just incredible to me. I’m so grateful.”
She also set the record straight about speculation that Taylor once pressured her to get bigger.

“I definitely wanted to get breast implants,” she insists. “I think a lot of people thought, ‘Oh, Jax encouraged you to size up.’ If you look back and watch that episode[of ‘Vanderpump Rules’]maybe he did, maybe.
But at the same time, I also wanted bigger breasts. After giving birth to my son and breastfeeding him, my weight fluctuated so much that my breasts kept getting bigger and bigger. ”
Now that she’s lighter both physically and mentally, Cartwright says she’s ready to shine again.
“I think people saw what I went through and how I was talked about and talked about for a long time,” she reflects. “They really hope, as much as I do, that it’s something that helps me shine and all the other things that I talk about all the time.”
Mr. Cartwright chatted with “Virtual Reali-Tea” while celebrating his new start. We partnered with Clorox to celebrate the launch of Crisp Lemon Clorox Disinfecting Wipes.
“I love a clean house,” she says with a smile. “And now that I feel like myself again, I want everything around me to shine as well.”
