Bella Ramsey skipped Sunday’s Emmy.
Bella Ramsey made history with Tonight’s Emmy, but the star chose not to attend the show. Their co-stars Pedro Pascal and Caitlin Dever represented the series.
This year, Ramsey was nominated for an outstanding lead actress in the drama series for her final role as Ellie in season 2. This marked the second nomination in that category. Ramsey eventually lost his award for Severance’s Britt Lower.
Each week of Entertainment, Ramsey expressed his gratitude to the show’s cast and crew. “We are extremely grateful to have been recognized for my work in the last season two, along with Pedro, Caitlin, Catherine, Jeffrey, Joe and many of our incredible craft team,” they said in a statement. “These nominations are for all the crew who worked very tirelessly to create the perfect environment for our performance to flourish.”
In our last latest season, Ramsey took on the more mature, physically tough version of Ellie, who worked on grief, revenge and growth after five years of time jumping. “Her mind has become a little more difficult,” Ramsey told Rapp. “She was a hardened survivor like Joel and there was a lot of trauma for her.
Coming for Ramsey is the nominal role of Maya, the thriller directed by Daisy Haggard. Deadline confirms that Ramsey will play Anna’s teenage daughter (Haggard) when she relocates from London to Scotland and is forced into a witness protection program. The six-part series will be dropped on streaming platform channel 4. There is no release date yet.
Ramsey could also return to our final season 3 if the show continues beyond that. In 2023, they told Elle they were willing to play Ellie “forever.” They added: “I have no limits. They can play as many games as they like. Read everything you know about the third season.
