Zayn Malik has been labeled “jealous” by record industry insiders after he appeared to comment on the high cost of former bandmate Harry Styles’ concert tickets.
“[He’s]jealous,” a music industry source told Page Six.
“Originally, he was trying to charge a higher price for tickets, but when he couldn’t do that, he had to lower the price, and as of last night, admission was about $20 cheaper,” the source claimed, referring to Malik’s Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM.
The source insisted there was “absolutely no demand” for Malik’s concert tickets, adding: “It’s unfair to attack Harry so easily when he’s doing the same thing as other artists.”
“Zayn is just jealous that people aren’t paying him,” the source continued.
Representatives for Malik, 33, and Stiles, 31, could not be reached for comment.
The two were previously members of One Direction, along with Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and the late Liam Payne, who passed away in 2024.
The group was formed on Britain’s “X Factor” in 2010 and officially disbanded in 2016, a year after Malik left the band.
Malik and Styles have sparked rumors of a feud over the years, including when the latter teased the “Love Like This” singer’s solo career during a Celebrity Family Feud sketch in 2017.
“Why would a member of a successful band go solo? That’s insane!” Styles joked.
Styles also pretended to forget Malik’s name in a 2019 monologue on Saturday Night Live, saying, “I love those guys. They’re my brothers. Niall, Louis, Liam, and…Ringo! Yeah, that’s it.”
However, rumors of a rift were put to rest when Styles and Malik gathered for Payne’s funeral in England in November 2024.
Meanwhile, Malik appeared to playfully comment on ticket prices for Styles’ upcoming “Together, Together” tour during a performance in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
“I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for being here tonight,” he told the audience in the now-viral clip.
“You could have gone anywhere, but you decided to spend the night with me,” she said, adding jokingly, “I hope the tickets weren’t too expensive.”
“I just said it,” Malik said with a grin.
Styles is scheduled to begin a tour from May to December 2026.
Prices for the singer’s “As It Was” show in London range from $60.80 to $642.76, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The high cost sparked a backlash, with one person writing via
“Harry, I’m sorry but this is stupid. I love you but I can’t justify spending my entire salary on two concert tickets,” another wrote.
