Whoopi Goldberg has recanted claims that she had an affair with the late convict Jeffrey Epstein after her name appeared in the infamous file.

“In the name of transparency, my name is on file. Yes!” the “Sister Act” actress shared on “The View” Tuesday morning.

Goldberg then read an email from May 2013 that included her name and said she needed “a flight to Monaco” for a charity event.

Whoopi Goldberg denies any involvement with the late convicted felon Jeffrey Epstein.
“In the name of transparency, my name is on (Epstein’s) file. Yes!” the actress said on “The View” on Tuesday.

In response, Epstein denied the request for a flight, writing, “No thanks.”

Joy Behar, Mr. Goldberg’s “View” co-host, quipped: “So anyone could be on this list?”

“This is my point, because when I tell you, people try to make me…like I wasn’t his girlfriend or his friend. Not only am I too old[for him]but this is a time where that’s not the case anymore. It used to be that you needed to know the facts before you said something.”

In the 2013 email seen above, Goldberg’s name was mentioned while trying to charter a plane to attend a charity event in Monaco.
The email showed that Epstein had denied the “The Color Purple” star’s request for a flight.

Behar, 83, interjected, saying President Donald Trump’s name was mentioned “38,000 times” in the Epstein files.

“I can’t talk to him, but he’s talking about me because he’s being dragged,” said Goldberg, 70.

“People actually believe that I was with him. It’s like honey. Hey hey, I know every guy I’ve ever been with because either the Enquirer wrote about it or people wrote about this thing. So, no.”

Ms. Goldberg told her “View” co-hosts that she was “being dragged in” because the emails were published in the Epstein file.
“I didn’t get on the plane,” Goldberg (pictured above in February) said. Gregory Pace/Shutterstock

“I didn’t get on the plane because I know what I have to do to get on the plane. They’re trying to get me on the plane[to go to a charity event].”

“The View” co-host Sarah Haines said the names of other stars, including Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe, appeared in Epstein’s file through “news articles, third-party emails and contacts.”

Haynes, 48, added: “Rich and famous people often move between professional and social circles, so that’s not surprising.”

Mr. Goldberg has recently been vocal about the Epstein files that the Justice Department has released to the public over the past few months.

Earlier this month, The Color Purple star accused fellow women of being “accomplices” in all of the disgraced financier’s crimes.

“Not only did they protect each other, but we were complicit in all of this. We are complicit,” she said on “The View.”

When asked about her position by her co-hosts, Goldberg responded, “Women didn’t say, ‘Hey, don’t do that. Don’t stand up for that.'” Women never stood up for other women. The women saw what was going on and didn’t say, “Stop.” They didn’t come out and say this was happening. ”

After a 2005 investigation, Epstein was released after pleading guilty to procuring children for prostitution and soliciting prostitutes and serving 13 months in prison.

He was charged with sex trafficking of minors in 2019 and was accused of abusing dozens of underage girls. Epstein died by suicide in prison while awaiting trial that same year.

His right-hand woman, Ghislaine Maxwell, is currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking.
