Who is Tom Kaulitz?
Kaulitz is a musician born and raised in Germany, and Krumm is also German, which was one of the things that drew him and Krumm together. In 2018, Klum told People, “He’s really great. Maybe it’s because he’s German and we understand each other in a different way.”
In fact, Kaulitz is from East Germany, and according to an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kaulitz once gave her a piece of the Berlin Wall as a birthday present.
There are some differences between the two, specifically a 16-year age difference. But Klum told InStyle, “I’ve been getting a lot of comments about my age from people other than myself lately…My boyfriend is many years younger than me, and a lot of people question that and ask about it. That’s really the only time it seems like age is shoved in my face and I have to answer for it.”
“I don’t really think about anything else,” she added. “You should live a happy life without worrying too much about what other people think. Worrying will only make you wrinkle more.”
Kaulitz is a musician and forms a rock band with his twin brother Bill. Kaulitz is the lead guitarist, and together with Gustav Schäfer on drums and Georg Listing on bass, they make up Tokio Hotel. The brothers also co-host a podcast called “Cowlitz Hills – Mustard from Hollywood.” Bill also lives nearby, which is important to Kaulitz.
“Bill lives near us,” he said in an interview. “He lives only 10 minutes away from us, so we all spend a lot of time together… There’s a lot of people at the breakfast table, so it gets weird sometimes, but in a good way. I’m a family person, I love my family, I love spending quality time.”
When did Klum and Kaulitz start dating?
In March 2018, the two were spotted kissing on the set of America’s Got Talent, where Klum worked. The two made public appearances soon after, walking the red carpet together at the Cannes amfAR Gala in May.

Within a year, the couple realized it was real. The two got engaged in December 2018, and Klum happily congratulated fans on social media, writing, “I said yes.”
The couple wed in California just two months later, but kept quiet until their second wedding was celebrated in style on the Italian island of Capri in August 2019. The wedding took place on a luxury yacht. Apparently it’s a place the two often visit.
“I’m a very happy person,” Klum told People magazine in January 2020. “For the first time, I have a partner who I can talk to about everything. Klum has three children with her ex-husband Seal, daughter Lou, and sons Henry and Johan. She also has an older daughter, Leni, from her relationship with Italian businessman Flavios Briatore. Kaulitz reportedly develops relationships with all of them and considers himself a “special father.”

Klum has become famous for her Halloween parties since she started them in 2000. She’s certainly been the star of the show many times with her costumes, but Kaulitz makes it even more amazing by matching her with everything she wants. In October 2023, Klum donned an elaborate peacock costume, and her husband also participated as a peacock egg.
But even when they started dating, he was all in. For her 2018 party, the couple dressed up as Shrek and Fiona.
Then, in October 2022, after taking time off due to the coronavirus pandemic, Kaulitz became a fisherman and Klum became a bug caught on a hook.
They spent time on St. Barts after Christmas 2023
The couple were enjoying the warm weather on St. Barts Island and were photographed sunbathing together on the beach on Saturday, December 30th. Klum wore bikini bottoms and no top, but she did wear a baseball cap and sunglasses to protect her face. She had some jewelry such as bracelets and pendants.
The model shared a shot and video of her statement with Kaulitz on Instagram, writing, “Love spending time with you ❤️.”
For Halloween 2024, they have prepared some amazing couple costumes.
Keeping with the tradition of amazing Halloween costumes, Klum and Kaulitz dressed up as two ETs for the annual party held at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York City. Kaulitz said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that ET’s costume was his idea.
They spent a weekend in Aspen in December 2024.
Klum and Kaulitz were spotted kissing after a while on the ski slopes in Aspen on Saturday, Dec. 21. They were joined by Kulm’s children, Johan Samuel and Leni. The model wore an oversized quilted coat and black jeans, with matching snow boots and a black beanie hat. Kaulitz wore jeans and a cozy white fleece. They drank coffee and strolled through the shopping district together.
A week later, Klum shared a video of herself playing in the snow on a hotel balcony wearing a red bra and thong set.
She then shared a clip of her and Kaulitz walking arm in arm through the snow together.
She also shared photos from their vacation, starting with a photo of them kissing on a merry-go-round, followed by several photos with the snow-covered Colorado Mountains in the background.
They started the 2025 fall season in Munich.
Klum was a special guest at the 190th Munich Oktoberfest held at the Kafertent on September 20, with Kaulitz by her side.
A few days ago, Klum hosted a Heidifest event, also in Munich. Kaulitz was also with her, along with friends and family.
