It’s been more than three years since Gisele Bündchen was spotted out to dinner in Costa Rica with Joaquin Valente and his two older children, Benjamin and Vivian, and the two are now husband and wife.
A source told Page Six in February 2024 that the supermodel and jiu-jitsu instructor are “deeply in love” and are getting more comfortable with their romance.
Less than a year later, People reported that Bündchen was pregnant with her fourth child, her first with a trainer.
Bündchen and Valente first became romantically involved in November 2022 after her divorce from Tom Brady was finalized the previous month after 13 years of marriage.
Since then, the pair have been spotted riding horses in Costa Rica, enjoying time on the beach, and hitting the gym together.

Joaquín and his brothers, Pedro Valente and Gui Valente, began learning Jiu-Jitsu from their father “before they could walk,” and now teach at the Valente Brothers facility.
“At just two years old, Pedro, Gui and Joaquín were already receiving private lessons from Grandmaster Helio Gracie,” the company’s website says. “The Valente brothers grew up training every day at the Gracie Academy in Rio de Janeiro.”
Pedro began teaching classes in Miami, Florida in 1993 and launched his family’s full-time academy five years later.
Joaquín was “still living in Brazil” at the time and was “working directly with Grandmaster Elio and providing valuable information to Pedro and Gui” before following them to the United States in 2007.
he studied at Barry University
According to Joaquim’s LinkedIn page, he began attending Barry University in 2007 and graduated four years later with a bachelor’s degree in criminology.
Joaquín’s current age is unknown, but he celebrated his birthday on November 6th and attended K-12 school in Rio de Janeiro from 1990 to 2007.

Joaquim moved to Florida from Brazil to study at Barry University and has lived in the state ever since.

In 2021, Joaquin and his brother posed alongside Bündchen in a Dust magazine spread.
The model shared a glimpse of her training session on Instagram in February of the following year.
“I think the more tools you have in your toolbox, the better,” Bundchen captioned the video. “Since I started practicing self-defense, I feel stronger, more confident, and more empowered. I feel like it’s an important skill for everyone, but especially for us women.

Brady responded on Twitter at the time, joking that the days of leaving dishes in the sink are over.

Joaquin’s Instagram may be private, but his Twitter account is filled with loving messages dedicated to his family.
In November 2018, Joaquin wrote about his father, “Today the greatest man was born. My best friend, mentor, and father. Thank you for always being by my side. So many wonderful memories.”
In February of the following year, he wrote a moving eulogy for his eldest brother Pedro.
