Coco Gough has been quietly dating artist Jalen Serra for over two years. The tennis star confirmed his relationship with Serra in June 2025.
Tennis star Kokogoff is just 21 years old and has already won major titles worldwide, including the 2023 US Open. “My boyfriend gave me this,” she said. “I’m not going to explain it because I’m sure many relationships respect that symbol (of endless).”

Who is Jalen Sera?
Serra is an Atlanta artist and appears to be creative in countless ways. He doesn’t post on Instagram often, but many of his videos are of him playing the guitar. He has an IMDB profile and some acting credits. His bio says he was born in Durham, North Carolina in 2022. He also has twins named Terrence.
In a 2024 cover story interview with Vogue, Gough talked about dating artists rather than athletes.
“Some people thought it was someone in tennis, so it couldn’t be far from the truth,” she shared. “He’s a really nice guy. He’s at school now… he’s about to apply to music school. He wants to be an actor and plays the guitar.”
How long have they been together?
In a 2024 interview, Goff said she wouldn’t reveal his name, saying that she had been with someone for about a year. She added that he is also from Atlanta and is not famous.
“This is my first real relationship,” she explained. “Just talking to people who aren’t involved in tennis at all gives you a fresh perspective.”
Gouf’s mother, Candy, shared that he actually taught his daughter’s future boyfriend in fourth grade, so it’s possible they’ve known each other for quite some time.
“My mother always said that if they were bad at school, maybe as adults,” Candy joked. “He’s always been a smart and lovely kid.”
When they won the US Open in 2023, they seemed to have already come close. After the victory there, Gouf told reporters that he felt he lost a year ago because he was thinking too much about the trophy.
“To be honest, I didn’t have those visions (of victory) until last night,” she said. “You know, I thought about it, but I told myself to get it out of my head because that’s what I did in French. I was imagining what would happen if I won. I want to do that.”
She continued. “Last night I started a bit, but honestly, I called my boyfriend and said, “Let’s talk until the time comes to fall asleep.”

It appears that Serra was in Rome with Golf for the Italian Open in 2024. She shared the look from overnight, writing “POV: I’m Dinner Date.”
