Fred Warner’s wife, Sydney Hightower, will be with him in thick and thin, including cheering for him at the 2024 Super Bowl and welcoming his first child together in March of that year.

The former Bachelor’s contestant didn’t receive the final rose from Season 24’s lead Peter Weber, but her appearance on the ABC dating show caused the linebacker to slip into the DMS.

The professional footballer is a three-time Pro Bowl selection, and the first rookie since 2000 has recorded at least 10 tackles in four consecutive games to start the NFL season, but the Alabama native Sydney admitted he had never heard of Fred before making his first move in 2020.

“(This) sounds so ridiculous, but in Alabama it’s strictly SEC college football,” she said on her podcast, Warner House.

The couple quickly got to know each other, got engaged the following year and got married in 2022. In March 2024, Fred and Sydney welcomed their first child, Bo Anthony.

“We can’t wait to cross the moon to get home from the hospital and start a new life,” they told people.

Almost a year and a half later, the pair announced in a joint Instagram post on September 21 that they were looking forward to their second child together. “Baby Warner #2 Comes in 2026,” they captioned the post.

She grew up in Alabama

Sydney grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he attended school with another single alumni. She and the season 23 contestant, and the ultimate single – Hannah Brown graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 2013, both enrolled at the University of Alabama.

During her season, Sydney opened in Weber about interracial growth in the South. As a white mother and a daughter of a black and Dominican father, Sydney shared that her home was destroyed and other unfortunate incidents occurred.

She is a former single contestant

Sydney was overcoming a breakup when he decided to audition for Season 24 of ABC’s long-standing real-life dating show The Bachelor. Upon appearing in the series, she appears to have formed a strong connection with Pilot Weber, and he considers her the best kiss she has in the mansion.

Nevertheless, Sydney was eliminated in week six, which may have surprised viewers, but Weber explained the reasons behind the decision.

“I had a great time with her, and we had a great connection, but next week it was a few games. There were a lot of women who had stronger connections than Sydney,” he told people in February 2020.

Fred fell for her while looking at the singles

Things may have not gone well with Weber, but Sidney still found love through the bachelor’s franchise, with the help of Fred’s sister-in-law. Sydney shared details of her unique love connections in the 2022 episode of the Bachelor Happy Hough Podcast, hosted by fellow bachelor alumni Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young.

“He was single and just lost the Super Bowl, so he was depressed,” Sydney explained, referring to the 49ers defeat to the Kansas City chief in 2020.

She continued, “His brother’s wife facetimed him and said that there was a girl in his type and his vibe, Bachelor’s degree. He thought she was ridiculous, but he reached out and he waited until he was sent home.

Her engagement included a nod to a bachelor’s degree

Fred and Sydney got engaged on May 15, 2021. The thoughtfully planned proposal included a visit to one of Sydney’s favorite spots.

“We love wine and wine country so we went to Napa, which is close to us living in the Bay Area,” she shared on the Bachelor’s Happy Hour Podcast. “He knew who owns a winery there and contacted them about the proposal.”

In a tribute to the moment Fred first looked at his future bride, the professional athlete presented Sydney with the iconic symbol of singles, the final rose.

Sydney said, “It’s so beautiful and he suggested a place we absolutely love. Even what he just said, it was very special.”

As she became a bride, she posted photos of her special moments on Instagram and footage of emotional suggestions on her YouTube channel.

They got married in 2022

Fred and Sydney married on June 25, 2022 at an intimate ceremony in a small chapel in Vista, California. The chapel, which jumped out from France, was decorated with baby breath run and white roses, and guests enjoyed the candlelit reception.

“It was very romantic and very secluded and private,” Sydney told E! Decoration news.

There were many familiar faces for the celebration. These include Chiara Norman, a Bachelor’s Degree contestant who served as a maid of honor, and fellow Bachelor’s Degree members Victoria Fuller, Tammy Rye, Savannah McKinley, Natasha Parker, Victoria Paul and Kylie Ramos.

Meanwhile, the professional football player has invited his brother Troy Warner and other NFL stars, including Azeez Alshaair, Terrell Burgess, Dre Greenlaw, Emmanuel Moseley, Dante Pettis and Kyle Van Noy.

The newlyweds concluded the festivities with their honeymoon in Tahiti, hoping to celebrate more in the future.

“We originally planned to go to Europe,” Sydney shared with the outlet. “However, he won’t be able to take days off from work as Fred’s training schedule and training camp is coming next month.”

“So we decided, ‘What do you know, we’re going to take it easily for a few days, and we plan to go to Europe next offseason,” she concluded.

She and Fred share one child

In March 2024, Fred and Sydney announced the birth of their first child, a son named Bo Anthony.

About a month before the deadline, Sydney joined Fred in Las Vegas and cheered him on during the 2024 Super Bowl. After the Chiefs defeated the 49ers, she met him on the sidelines and gave him a supportive embrace. As the couple was surrounded by camera, they hugged and shared a kiss.

Before the big game, Sydney shared with people that he was allowed to fly to the stadium to support Fred, and was opened up about their baby’s uncertainty.

“I look forward to a special one-on-one time between me and Fred. “So we really take that time and just take care of it because it never happens again. We’re never going to be our first parents again. It’s exciting, and it’s a sweet time.”
