Victoria Pedretti announced her engagement to photographer and film director Ethan DeLorenzo in a joint Instagram post in July 2025. Victoria Pedretti announced her engagement in July 2025, and she wasn’t shy about it. The Hill House actress shared a joint Instagram with her fiancé, photographer and artist Ethan DeLorenzo, on July 22. She wrote, “It’s no secret that I’m deeply in love with Ethan and that we’re engaged. I tell everyone I meet him.”
The Instagram also posted a photo of the couple hugging each other and smiling. Pedretti’s announcement was a rare opportunity to learn more about their relationship, as their relationship has been kept top secret.
“Wow, the love we are making together is out of this world. It’s forever here,” DeLorenzo added on his Instagram Story, according to The Tab.

He is a multidisciplinary artist with a strong connection to nature.
DeLorenzo describes himself on his website as a “father/wild gatherer/naturalist/director/recording artist/photographer/gardener.” His work spans short documentaries, photography, and music. One of his short documentaries, Cider Creek Collective (2025), follows a group of potters and features music performed on handmade instruments.
His Instagram offers a glimpse into both his professional and personal life, with an emphasis on the natural environment and community life.
On April 25, 2025, he posted a Pedretti merry-go-round posing outdoors in a red dress. He captioned it, “Here are some photos of proof of our wild minds in action.”
She shared the same photo on Instagram that day, tagging DeLorenzo.
DeLorenzo also posted a Polaroid photo of Pedretti the month before, writing, “I’d love to lie on the side of a cliff during the apocalypse with you anytime… Expired Polaroid film 💜.”
He lived on Vashon Island, Washington for several years.
As of 2025, it is unknown where DeLorenzo currently lives, but he previously lived on Vashon Island for several years.
In a 2020 interview on the podcast Our Nature, DeLorenzo said: “I’m currently in an apple orchard in Vashon, Washington, a small island that can only be reached by ferry. I live in a small ecovillage with six to eight other people, depending on the time of year. We have a farm and an orchard. We’ve started doing a little outdoor mushroom experiment, so we’re also growing mushrooms.”
“The best thing about the Pacific Northwest is that there’s so much to forage,” he added. “I’m always looking for something. I’ve been here for four years.”
He described the island as a place where he found a sense of home, saying, “I have never felt such a pure and intentional sense of home.”
While on Vashon, he also contributed to the local Summer Arts Fest, including photo installations and music workshops for children, according to the Vashon Maury Island Beachcomber.
He got his start in the music industry in New York.
DeLorenzo grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania. After high school, I moved to Brooklyn and started working at a recording studio. “I started working with this mix engineer at the recording studio. His name is Ryan West,” he told Our Nature. “He was working a lot with producer Just Blaze at the time, so we started working with Jay-Z’s studio, Rihanna, T.I….I remember one of the first projects we did was with Kid Cudi when he was working with Eminem.”
He added: “It was the internet that got me that gig from a shitty town in Pennsylvania. I was a weirdo teenager who loved music and read album liner notes and searched and sent messages. And I saw an opportunity when I was really young and enthusiastic.”
He was in a band with Teyana Taylor.
After working in the studio, DeLorenzo joined Teyana Taylor in a band called UGLY (Underneath Greatness Lies You) as a drummer. “At the time, she was signed to Pharrell and they were trying to start this band…Long story short, she wrote a bunch of songs, was in that band, moved to L.A., and then Teyana got signed to Kanye and went solo,” he said. “Fortunately, it’s no longer searchable. It’s erased from everything, and I’m grateful for that,” he added, referring specifically to the band’s music and online presence.
He said the experience was pivotal. “I saw the world. They were my friends and companions…I loved it to some extent, but then I think other things started coming to me. I thought, what do I really want?”
A trip to Hawaii with Rihanna in 2010 was a turning point in his life.
While in the music industry, DeLorenzo developed friendships with artists such as Rihanna and Chris Brown. The three share a close relationship, with DeLorenzo sharing with his ex-girlfriend that he once lived with Brown when he first moved to Los Angeles.
“Me and Rihanna have the same birthday, February 20th. We’re Pisces,” DeLorenzo said. “It was both our birthdays that day and we were going to Hawaii, so I was like, ‘Oh, I should come.’ So it was kind of like a leisure trip. It was really special, and that trip was really important.” He added that the experience there gave him “clarification of my ego, what I really want out of life, and what feels authentic to me.”
He added, “It gave me more clarity on where I was going in my career, and then I basically met the mother of my child.”
DeLorenzo spoke to Our Nature about the moment he found out his then-partner Jena Malone was pregnant with their son, Ord.
“I was really happy when she told me she was pregnant,” he said. “I felt like I had that purpose and was ready for it.”
The family initially moved to Big Sur, California. After Ode turned one year old, DeLorenzo, Malone, and their son lived in a van and traveled along the coast in search of farmland in the area. When the couple eventually separated, DeLorenzo moved to Vashon Island to be closer to his son. “She and I both had our ups and downs,” he said. “We weren’t supposed to be life partners living in the same space, so we realized that during that trip and broke up.”
“Ever since my son was born, I’ve always been a father first and foremost,” he added.
He ran a community farm and embraced off-grid living.
After arriving in Vashon, DeLorenzo found work managing a small community farm. “I managed an orchard of raspberries, blueberries, pumpkins, strawberries, tomatoes, etc…It was like a small community farm of about two acres,” he said. “And we ended up transitioning the farm to a co-op farm.”
DeLorenzo described the lifestyle change as transformative. “Learning about farming, connecting with trees, growing crops, and connecting with these slow processes has made me a much better person, made me more patient, and given me the tools to be a better father,” he said.
“Fast forward to now…I love my life,” DeLorenzo said in 2020. “This part of the world, I just love the climate, the seasons… It gave me the tools to listen and connect to those processes and share that with my son.”
“Everything that influenced my life and gave me this blissful life experience was outside of my control. That’s why I became so good at listening to people and believing that this is where I’m meant to go and that this will somehow work out,” he concluded.
He shared a new photo of them in January 2026.
In early 2024, DeLorenzo shared a photo taken on a merry-go-round in what appears to be a house in the woods. In some of the photos, Pedretti poses, including one where she is topless and looking back at the camera. In the caption, the artist wrote, “A mix of photos taken by myself and my girlfriend,” apparently referring to the actress.
