Avignone was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Arizona, where he met Emma Stone, who he would later introduce to Swift. She returned to Los Angeles to begin her fashion journey and enrolled at FIDM, graduating in 2006. She went to school for fashion design, but after graduating she was drawn to celebrity styling.
“Two weeks after graduating, I started assisting a top celebrity stylist in LA, and that stuck with me,” Avignone told Neely & Chloe in 2019. “After years of working as an assistant to various stylists, I decided to go out on my own.”Currently, Avignone specializes in supporting creative and strategic projects for brands such as Saks Fifth Avenue.
She also branched out into interior design, creating and curating spaces such as hair salons. Additionally, she is a content creator who has partnered with companies such as H&M, fragrance brand Future Society, and Prenuvo, a preventive healthcare company that offers whole-body MRI scans to screen for cancer and disease.
She and Swift have been friends for more than 10 years.
Avignone and Swift have been friends for about 17 years, having met through Stone. They attended the LA premiere of Stone’s film Easy A in 2010 and were photographed at the Vanity Fair Oscar party the following year.

In 2019, Avignone commemorated the “Shake It Off” singer’s birthday on Instagram, writing, “30 years of life for you, 11 years of friendship for us. Thank you for being the best friend, listener, dance party starter, storyteller, haircut lover, and the biggest, warmest, most generous heart. Happy Birthday Tay!! I love you with all my heart ❤️.”
In December 2024, the two attended each other’s birthday celebrations, starting with Swift’s surprise party. Avignone shared photos from the bash on Instagram, featuring snaps of Swift and fiancé Travis Kelce. “She thought she was going to a small, quiet dinner, but it turned out to be a huge surprise party with friends and family, complete with props 🥳,” Avignone wrote.
Later that month, Swift celebrated Avignone’s birthday. The stylist captured the sweet moment of the two hugging on Instagram and captioned it, “Happy birthday, with the emphasis on *happiness* 😆.”
She appeared in Swift’s “22” music video and Red Album booklet.
With a friendship so deep-rooted, it’s no wonder Avignone appeared in Swift’s music video for “22” in 2013. The clip shows Avignone dancing with Swift and other friends at a birthday party. The song was part of the singer’s 2012 album Red, which included a booklet with a hidden message that read, “Ashley, Deanna, Claire, Selena,” and listed Avignone as one of Swift’s closest friends, along with Dianna Agron, Claire Winters, and Selena Gomez.
She was spotted cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs with Swift.
Avignone attended multiple Kansas City Chiefs games and helped support Swift’s Kelce. She was photographed in a suite with Swift at the 2024 and 2025 Super Bowl games, and also shared a personal snapshot from one of their game day gatherings.
Swift was not Avignone’s only famous friend.
Avignone is friends with other celebrities in Swift’s circle, including Gigi Hadid and Antoni Porowski. She also attended Hadid’s birthday celebrations during a trip to Disney World in 2022 and the following year.
