Hadid hard-launched her relationship with Banuelos on Valentine’s Day 2024.
On Feb. 14, 2024, Hadid made her relationship with Banuelos as official as it gets on Instagram. She posted a picture to her Instagram Story of her standing on a fence looking into his eyes as he sat on a horse. His arm was reaching out to rest on her leg.
“My valentine💌💋,” she captioned the photo.
Hadid posted one of her first photos of Banuelos in January 2024.
On January 24, Hadid posted a series of photos to Instagram from her latest equestrian competition. One of the pictures showed Hadid and Banuelos holding hands and smiling at each other.
“Never stop trying new things. I feel lucky enough to have the opportunity to keep learning in life. ❤️,” she wrote in the caption of the carousel.
Banuelos and Hadid were first rumored to be a couple back in October 2023.
On October 17, TMZ obtained photographs of Hadid and Banuelos holding hands and kissing. Onlookers said that the couple seemed very happy together.
Hadid dressed the part for a date night with Banuelos at the rodeo in March 2024.
On March 8, 2024, Hadid supported Banuelos at a rodeo event called the American Performance Horseman by Teton Ridge held at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The model dressed for the part, wearing a black cowboy hat and matching leather pants with a beaded top. She left her hair down in loose waves under the hat.
At one point, she and Banuelos shared a sweet embrace in the stands.
He accompanied her to her Orebella launch event in May 2024.
On Friday, May 3, Hadid left the Bowery Hotel with Banuelos in New York City, heading to her Orebella launch event. The model was wearing a stunning green and yellow vintage Roberto Cavalli dress with a plunging neckline and flowing skirt. Banuelos accompanied her. He wore blue jeans, a black button down, and a black cowboy hat. He accessorized with a pair of blue leather cowboy boots and a brown belt with an oversize gold buckle.
They were seen again after Hadid changed into a more casual black leather jacket with matching pants and a white T-shirt. Banuelos could be seen clutching Hadid’s hand and holding her close to his side as they navigated the city streets.
Hadid is living in Texas, close to Banuelos now.
TMZ reported in March 2024 that the model had purchased property in the Fort Worth, Texas area. Multiple sources told the outlet that Hadid is living in Texas more often than not and that she and Banuelos split time between their properties. They said that Hadid has “gone full cowgirl now” in her new home.
For Banuelos’s birthday in April 2024, Hadid gave him a big Instagram Story tribute.
Hadid marked Banuelos’s big day with an intimate look inside their relationship. “Happy birthday, my love,” she captioned her first Instagram Story in the series.
Banuelos spoke about his relationship with Hadid in August 2024 and how she initially moved into his trailer.
In August, Banuelos spoke on the “Along For the Ride” podcast about his relationship with Hadid. He revealed she initially moved into his fifth-wheel trailer. “She did do the 5th wheel, happily. It was badass,” he said, via Daily Mail.
“It was cool because I really wanted that to be a part of our relationship,” he continued. “You know, you start having feelings for somebody and you start thinking things like, ‘Man, maybe this is the rest of my life here,’ and knowing that she is that simple of a human being (and) that the material things aren’t important—or the most important thing.”
He added, “That 5th wheel has always felt small and then you get, you know, somebody that you enjoy spending time with, and that 5th wheel went from a 5th wheel to a fucking mansion.”
He spoke about his own future property plans, saying, “I’m working on building a home. It’s gonna take me a little bit, but she bought something that was a good investment for her.”
Banuelos also had glowing things to say about his partner. “Man, I can’t tell you how happy I am. I can’t tell you how fortunate I am,” he said. “This young lady is one of the kindest, biggest-hearted and sweet person I’ve (ever met). I mean I didn’t know God made ’em like that.”
They showed off their riding skills together in September 2024.
The couple enjoyed a trip to New York in mid-September in 2024. They were photographed at the Kemo Sabe pop-up event in the Meatpacking district on Thursday, September 12, dressed to impress. They showed off some of their riding skills as a couple there as well. There were a number of pictures taken of them all over the city, sharing kisses, affectionate embraces, and smiles.
They even managed to share a kiss from horseback.
In November 2024, Hadid competed in Mississippi with Banuelos, and he fêted her success.
On November 3, the couple published a shared Instagram of their trip to Jackson, Mississippi, where Hadid competed in horseback riding. Banuelos captioned the post, “Our trip to Jackson, Mississippi was well worth it! Bella rode 3 horses and qualified to 7 different finals, bringing home her first CHAMPIONSHIP buckle! We continue to be proud of her in (and out) of the arena ♥️”
Hadid shared an intimate moment with Banuelos in February 2025.
In a carousel of pictures posted on February 15 with the caption, “lately 🫶🏼 forever grateful,” Hadid shared a video of Banuelos kissing her in the stables while picking her up and spinning her around in a circle. In the clip, she’s wearing denim jeans with boots and a sleeveless tank in a graphic print.
Hadid discussed how she met Banuelos in May 2025.
In an interview with British Vogue, Hadid spoke about moving to Texas, where her stepfather was building a house, with her mom. She had been at a low point.
“They were like: ‘OK, we’re not going to leave you by yourself,’” Hadid recalled. “At the time I was a 26-year-old living with her mom on our (Pennsylvania) farm that I also pay for, feeling (like) a full tiny baby child. They were basically like: ‘Just come. You can ride, sleep, tap out. You just can’t be alone.’”
“So I go,” Hadid continued. “I’m with my stepdad. We move cows, we’re on trail rides, and I’m starting to feel a little better, but just still dealing with my own stuff. Then, the next day, I meet my boyfriend. I saw him walk in, and it was like a gust of fresh air.”
She met Banuelos at a local horse show. “So he basically came in, walked into the exhibit hall, which is where we do all of the show stuff. I was getting a cowboy hat fitted. I just saw him and I was like that’s the…I always wanted the cowboy,” she said with a laugh. “And he’s pretty gorgeous, let me tell you something.”
Hadid said she and Banuelos hope to have a family someday in her May 2025 interview.
Hadid had adoring things to say about her partner to British Vogue, telling the outlet, “He’s the youngest Mexican cowboy to ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He works for his family, he works for his customers, and he works to hopefully build a home and a family one day.”
Hadid would like a family too, she said: “I can’t wait to be a mom. I think that I’m somebody for a lot of people, but in the real intimate way of being the person that somebody can count on consistently, that will change my life for me. And I cannot wait. I never grew up being like, ‘Oh, I have this vision of marriage.’ I have this vision of being a mother. But it’s got to a point where I’m like: ‘You know what? That’s something that’s for me.’ I think that would make me truly happy.”
Hadid wants to open a summer camp for children with Banuelos.
The model spoke to British Vogue in May 2025 about the “biggest dream” she shares with Banuelos: opening a summer camp for children.
“Being in a relationship—he works so much, I work so much—we come together to have these conversations,” she said. “He knows my passion is philanthropy. I think that’s where I struggle being in this (fashion) world of so much stimulation. I always feel overstimulated and I wish I could just be somewhere helping everybody. I think I would wake up in the morning feeling better every day if I could wake up for somebody else, and not for something that meant that I was in a photograph or for me to make more money. I wish I could just be somebody for somebody else.”
Banuelos dedicated a heartfelt post to Hadid in October 2025.
On October 29, Banuelos shared an Instagram featuring photos of himself and Hadid, writing, “October’s become a special month. It’s the month God sent you. Even with all the chaos and ugliness, He gave us something pure and beautiful. Love you, baby. I’ll keep reminding you every day just how much.”
Hadid responded in the comments, writing, “😭💕Baby😭I love you, thank you my bub🥲this is the sweetest…ever 💜🥹❤️.”

On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, Hadid posted a carousel of photos to her Instagram dedicated to her cowboy boyfriend. In the post, which she opened up with a stunning selfie, she included a video of a celebratory Banuelos popping a bottle of champagne and drinking it out out the trophy that he had just won.

Banuelos is a cowboy.
Banuelos is a Mexican-American cowboy and horse trainer. In 2017, he was inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Riders Hall of Fame at the ripe age of 28, making him one of the youngest members. His father, Ascencion Banuelos, another renowned cowboy, was also given the same honor.
According to his website, Banuelos “has already amassed over five million dollars in earnings aboard a horse. He is the future of the performance horse industry and a teacher to the younger generation of equine enthusiasts.”
Banuelos received the title of #1 NCHA leading open rider in 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
Banuelos is actually Hadid’s riding coach.
It is unknown if this is how they initially met, but Banuelos is indeed Hadid’s coach. In an Instagram Reel on Jan. 23, 2024, Banuelos shared a video of Hadid and her horse in action. At the end of the video are some photos of the couple smiling and gazing into each other’s eyes before hugging.
“Proud of our girl ✨ Bella and #MetallicTito taking home 3rd place at their first show out! Can’t wait to see what the future holds for this duo . . .,” he wrote in the caption.

Banuelos is 36 years old.
Born on April 8, 1989, Banuelos is an Aries. Hadid, 28, was born on Oct. 9, 1996, making her a Libra. According to the AstroTwins, Libras and Aries can make for a fiery astrological pairing.
