Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attended Beyoncé’s gold party on Oscar night. Guest Oscar-winning filmmaker Natalie Musteta told The New Yorker what her time there was like. This isn’t the first time Swift has made a low-key appearance at a post-Oscars event.
Taylor Swift didn’t show up to the high-profile Vanity Fair Oscar party, but she did step out on Sunday night and stopped by Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s famous Gold Party. Filmmaker and Oscar winner Natalie Musteata, whose project “Exchanging Saliva” won a historic tie for Best Live-Action Short, spoke to The New Yorker about her experience literally partying with Swift.
She and Aleksandr Singh, who co-wrote and directed the short film, “were not actually invited to any parties, but we gathered together with Oscar statuettes and they ended up taking us everywhere,” Musteata recalls. “We went to the Vanity Fair party, which was amazing. We got to talk to our idol, the cinematographer Darius Khondji. We went to Jay-Z’s Gold Party, which was surreal. We danced with Jay-Z, Emma Stone, and Taylor Swift. We took pictures, laughed, cried, and it was a great night. We didn’t want it to end like this.”
People also confirmed that Swift attended Beyoncé’s party and that her fiancé Travis Kelce also attended. A source told the magazine: “Everyone was feeling like a celebrity and people were crowding around Michael B. Jordan. Taylor was dancing with friends and having a great time.”
The source added that Swift and Kelsea also “interacted with Beyoncé.” People noted how private and exclusive the event was, especially the no-phone policy. Some celebrities, including Emma Watson, were photographed by paparazzi upon arrival, but no photos of them inside have surfaced.
This year isn’t the first time Swift has made a low-key appearance at an Oscar party. In 2024, British Vogue reported that she and Travis Kelce attended Madonna and Guy O’Seary’s “infamously private” post-Oscar party.
The singer hasn’t shared any photos from the 2026 Oscars night, and it’s been years since images of her at an Academy Awards event surfaced. She was last photographed at the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
In 2019, she attended the party again with then-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, but did not pose on the red carpet. Instead, she shared a gold dress on Instagram.
