Prince Harry extended the olive branches to Charles III, and after more than a year of alienation, he “sparks” his recent reunion.
The Duke of Sussex “written a handwritten letter…he expressed his desire to reconnect earlier this year,” U.S. Weekly reported over the weekend.
“They didn’t know if that would happen until last week,” the outlet insisted on Sunday, calling the meeting “ultra positive and very relaxed.”
“They were personally catching up about the kids, Charles and what was going on about his health,” the source said in connection with the monarch’s cancer battle.
There was reportedly “embraced and tears,” and “the mood was genuine and positive.”
The insider said, “When they first met each other, they shared a long hug. Harry began to cry.
Page 6 confirmed last week that 41-year-old Harry met his 76-year-old father on Wednesday for a “private tee.”
The meetup took place at Clarence House, a London home under His, around 5:20pm, and lasted nearly an hour.
“We were chosen because it had a more intimate and less formal atmosphere than Buckingham Palace,” US Weekly reported Sunday. “They wanted an intimate environment to return to their personal connections without pressure.”
The duo have not seen each other in person since February 2024, shortly after Charles’ cancer diagnosis was headlined.
After meeting with Charles on Wednesday, Harry attended the Invictus Games event, screaming that his father was “doing great things.”
Charles and Harry representatives did not immediately respond to Page 6’s request for comment.
The prince arrived in England last week with Harry’s wife Meghan Markle to celebrate his return on Sunday, similar to the brand’s Instagram stories.
“When your Bo returns to town,” and the “suit” alum, 44, captioned a photo of herself pouring drinks over the weekend.
She and Harry, who married in May 2018, live in Montecito, California, and have two children, six-year-old Prince Archie and four Princess Lillivet.
