Brooks Nader’s sisters have provided model interventions regarding the use of weight loss drug “concerns.”
In episode 7 of the brothers’ new reality series, “Love Thy Nader,” “Dancing with the Stars” alumni Sarah Jane Nader, Grace Annader and Mary Holland Nader spoke to Brooks about their overuse of GLP-1 after nearly passing away during their workout class.
“I usually microdose GLP-1, this weight loss pill,” explained Brooks, 28.
“But now, I’m probably going to get half naked as the saying (photoshoot) is approaching, and I’m taking a little bit because I want to snatch it out,” she added.
“But at the same time, the symptoms of weight loss medication have been getting worse these days.”
After exercise classes, Brooks’ sisters discover she is almost unconscious in the bathtub.
“She didn’t eat last night and didn’t eat anything today,” Grace Anne, 25, confessed about her famous younger sister.
“There’s a huge amount of pressure in the modeling industry to become a working model. I felt that, everyone felt that. But Brooks puts unrealistic pressure on herself to keep her appearance.”
Brooks brushed the case off, but she admitted she was overly “nausea” and “tired” due to the drug.
Grace Anne said she was “seriously worried” about her sister because Brooks was “really tired, dead, throwing.”
The next day, Grace Anne intervened with a sports-illustrated swimsuit model after she and Mary Holland, 26, found an excessive pile of needles and bottles of GLP-1 drugs.
“Just seeing all the needles stacked in one place, you realize the severity of how deep she is. This is a distinctly different doctor. This is a different pharmacy,” Mary Holland said.
“It’s dangerous. She’s overprescribed. This amount is very concerning,” she added.
Sarah Jane, who confessed to having taken weight loss pills in the past, said she believes that “deeperful things are going on” with her oldest sister.
Brooks was caught off guard when a psychologist arrived to mediate the intervention. She’s returned to the sisters for “throwing stones” – especially when she tried out some of them as well.
“Why do you think I’m on the GLP-1? It’s all the work I do, so it’s like you have to fit certain standards and certain measurements, and they’re measuring my hips straight for all these new fashion jobs I’m getting in Paris and Milan,” the model shared.
“There are requirements that I don’t meet, and I know how vapid the industry is.
Brooks admitted she needs to take better care of her health, but she told her sister that she would only be using bone soup until she stays on weight loss pills and finishes her photo shoot.
“I know my sisters come from a place of love, and I realized that you don’t know until you’re in that position how you treat it,” she said.
“I may have an unhealthy relationship with weight and food for the industry I’m in, but I don’t think I have an eating disorder.”
Season 1 of “Love Thy Nader” is currently out and can be viewed on Hulu.
