On Wednesday, Britney Spears was photographed driving her car in a dangerous direction while returning home from a night out.
Shocking video footage shows the pop star leaving the Red O Restaurant in Thousand Oaks, California, despite others urging him not to get behind the wheel.
The singer’s car continued to make unstable U-turns, its tires screeching.
The Grammy winner was caught on camera eating at a red light, tailgating other cars, and even meandering into other lanes and bike lanes on her way home.
At one point, Spears’ black BMW convertible crossed the median of the road.
Once Spears arrived at her home, she said she struggled for nearly 30 minutes to get through the gate.
“She entered her keys and drove up to the gate, but it wouldn’t open,” a source told the Daily Mail on Thursday. “She’s done this three or four times.”
The “Crossroads” star also drew attention for her behavior earlier in the night when she walked around holding hands with another patron at a restaurant.
For the outing, the performer wore a yellow off-shoulder top, white shorts, a black hat, and sandals.
Sources at the outlet claimed that Spears is “in a vicious cycle” as ex-husband Kevin Federline’s new memoir, You Thought You Knew, has “reopened old wounds.”
The songwriter is “cornered” and “acting out,” the source claimed.
Federline’s revelations have been in the headlines all month with bombshell statements from Spears about everything from taking cocaine while breastfeeding her sons to cheating on her with a backup dancer during their short-lived marriage.
The 47-year-old’s book also describes various moments in which Spears allegedly became violent towards Federline and her sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jaden, 19.
Mr. Federline recently claimed that the memoir came from a “place of understanding” and was meant to “help” his ex-wife, but Mr. Spears and his publicist have countered that publishing the memoir is a money grab.
“If you truly love someone, you don’t help them by humiliating them,” the “Toxic” singer tweeted last week.
