Row K Entertainment has acquired U.S. distribution rights to the upcoming action comedy “Mr.” starring Walton Goggins and Chloë Grace Moretz.
This film marks the directorial debut of legendary second unit and action director Wade Eastwood, whose credits include Mission: Impossible: Final Reckoning and Jumanji: The Next Level. Written by Nicki Cortese, the film tells the story of a man (Goggins) who wakes up in a strange house covered in blood and discovers his true identity as he battles a group of contract killers from his past, ranging from his ex-lover to his best friend. To get out of this, he teams up with his estranged daughter (Moretz), who is set to take over the family business. In order to survive, broken relationships must be repaired.
The film was first announced at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Principal photography is currently underway in Madrid and the Canary Islands. “Mr.” is scheduled to be released in theaters in 2027.
Goggins recently appeared in Season 3 of “The White Lotus” and Amazon’s hit “Fallout.” He also appeared in “Justified” and “The Hateful Eight.” Moretz is best known for her work in the film “Kick-Ass,” and has also appeared in “Hugo,” “Greta,” and “The Equalizer.”
Founded in 2025, Row K has made several acquisitions, including “Cliffhanger,” directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Pierce Brosnan and Lily James. “Charlie Harper,” directed by Tom Dean and Mac Eldridge and starring Nick Robinson and Emilia Jones. In January, Gus Van Sant directed “Dead Man’s Wire,” starring Bill Skarsgård, Dacre Montgomery, Coleman Domingo, and Al Pacino, was released.
“‘Mr.’ is a sharp, high-concept action comedy that immediately caught our attention,” said Row K co-chairmen Christopher Woodrow and Raj Singh. “Wade Eastwood brings decades of world-class action experience to his directorial debut, and Walton Goggins will give a performance that is as unpredictable as it is convincing. This film exemplifies the star-driven, big-screen entertainment we are building around Row K and is a strong addition to our growing base.”
Cortese and Wayne Mark Godfrey will serve as producers on “Thunder Road,” along with Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, and will produce and finance “Bright White Light.” Goggins is also producing. Henry Braham will serve as cinematographer and Nigel Phelps will serve as production designer. Black Bear is selling the international rights to the film, and CAA negotiated the deal with Low K. Executive producers include Sophie Mayer, Will Flynn, Chase Veragali, and Ibrahim Mohammed.
Mr. Goggins is repped by CAA and Darris Hatch Management. Mr. Moretz is repped by CAA and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern. Row K, Bright White Light, and Thunder Road are repped by CAA.
