Vince Gilligan has been renewing his total contract for the past 20 years on his studio home, Sony Pictures Television. The update will be four years old, and Gilligan will continue to develop and produce scripted series for Sony TV, and continue to set it under his Hybridge Production Banner.

“Every three or four years, I think it’s time to try out new places, but I remember something pretty amazing with Sony Pictures Television,” says Vince Gilligan. “I really like Katherine, the Rabbi and all the people there. They’re excellent partners who treat me well. And they do a great job looking for ‘Breaking Bad’ and now ‘Best Call’ and ‘Pluribs’.

Gilligan is best known as the creator of “Breaking Bad,” produced by Sony TV. The series aired five rave reviews on AMC and is widely regarded as one of the best shows of the 21st century, if not all. He followed in the spinoff Better Call Saul, where he explored the life of Saul Goodman’s “Breaking Bad” and the “Bad” life of the post, reprising Bob Odenkirk. Gilligan and Sonny were also behind the “Breaking Bad” follow-up film “El Camino,” which closes the story of Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul.

“Beyond being a legend and a true giant in our business, Vince Gilligan is an incredible person, always shining in the spotlight on others,” said Katherine Pope, president of Sony Pictures TV Studios. “He was a humble genius, rare and rare, and I couldn’t be proud to continue his unprecedented partnership with him.”

After Gilligan, the Apple TV+ series “Pluribus.” This has been featured in streamer for two seasons. “Better Call Saul” star Rhea Seehorn leads the series and debuts on November 7th with the first two episodes, with new episodes continuing from December 26th.

“Pralibus” is said to be “an original that bends the genre in which the most miserable people on the planet have to save the world from happiness.” In addition to the series, the series will star Carolina Widela and Carlos Manuel Besga, with guest stars Miriam Scholl and Samba Schutte.

Gilligan is represented by the CAA and Del Shaw Moonves.

“Pluribus” is produced by an executive produced by Sony Pictures Television and Gilligan, alongside Gordon Smith, Alison Tatlock, Diane Mercer, Allyce Ozarski and Jeff Frost. Jenn Carroll and Trina Siopy serve as common producers.
