Victoria Beckham is devastated by her son Brooklyn Beckham’s scathing comments about family separation, but there’s reportedly one thing he said that threw her into complete turmoil.
According to Mirror UK, Victoria, 51, is “absolutely heartbroken” by Brooklyn’s reference to the couple’s “future family” with Nicola Peltz. Because they know it means they will no longer be a part of their children’s lives.
“All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family,” Brooklyn, 26, said, ending a long list of accusations against her “controlling” and “well-behaved” father and mother, David Beckham.
The subtle hints about a possible grandchild were “particularly hurtful to Victoria and David” as it was a “dream” for the Spice Girls-turned-fashion designer and retired footballer to become grandparents, Mirror UK reported.
Victoria, who is also the mother of sons Romeo Beckham (23) and Cruz Beckham (20) and daughter Harper Beckham (14), was asked in a February 2024 interview with Vogue if she was excited to become a grandmother.
“Oh, Jesus. What? Hmm, wait a minute,” she exclaimed, loosening the collar and fanning it with her hands. “I don’t think that’s happened yet. Unless you guys know something that I don’t know, it hasn’t happened yet.”
But she always added: “It would be great if I was blessed someday, but we’re not there yet.”
Victoria, still shaken by the thought, continued fanning herself and added, “Christ, it’s hot. Guys, it’s hot in here! What’s going on?”
Meanwhile, Brooklyn revealed in an August 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight that he wants to become a “young father” and have “10 kids” with Peltz, 31.
On Monday, Brooklyn uploaded a surprising post to her Instagram Story about their ongoing family feud, confirming many of the long-standing rumors.
He accused his parents of trying to “ruin” his relationship with Peltz “even before their wedding in April 2022.”
“In the weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly tried to pressure and bribe me to take away the rights to my name, which would affect me, my wife, and our future children,” Brooklyn claimed.
“They were adamant that I sign before the wedding date, so the contract would start. Even though my resistance affected my payday, they have never treated me the same way since.”
Tensions escalated just before the wedding after Victoria reportedly “cancelled making Nicola’s dress at the 11th hour.”
Brooklyn also claimed that her mother called her “bad guys” for choosing to have Peltz and Peltz’s grandmother sit at their table because “neither of them had a husband,” even though her parents “had their own table equally next to” the bride and groom.
Later, during the reception, Victoria “hijacked” the newlyweds’ first dance and continued to dance “highly inappropriately” to her son, making him “uncomfortable” and “humiliated”.
Neither she nor David, 50, have publicly addressed Brooklyn’s allegations.
