The Dropout’s Very Important Season 3 trailer is here, and it’s “absolutely disgusting” thanks to the “approval-seeking thing behind Vic Michaelis’ eyes.”
The impromptu interview series will return for a third season on December 4th with an episode featuring comedian Rekha Shankar in conversation with host Michaelis. In typical “VIP” fashion, Shankar doesn’t know who he’ll be appearing on the show until he’s done his costume and makeup blind and is interviewed by Michaelis. Michaelis plays the role of an aspiring broadcast journalist who hosts the talk show “Very Important People.”
Additional character interviews scheduled to appear this season include Jeremy Culhane, Brennan Lee Mulligan, the pair Jacob Wysocki (whose trailer features Mulligan delving into Michaelis’ need for approval, as seen above), Angela Giaratana, Eugene Cordero, Demi Adefuigbe, Lisa Gilroy, Frankie Quinones, Caitlin Riley, and Lacey. Mosley, Zach Ohyama, Katya, Rachel Pegram, Chelsea Peretti, and Anna Garcia.
According to a description of the series by comedy streamer Dropout, “Very Important People” features improvisational comedians who undergo a major makeover by a team of talented makeup artists and are transformed into completely new and unexpected characters. They create new looking characters on the fly and are interviewed by Vic Michaelis, who also plays a host named Vic Michaelis.
“Very Important Season 3” will be released on Dropout with its first episode on December 4th, and a total of 15 episodes will be released bi-weekly until June 18th.
Additionally, this season, the show will also release a deeper dive into the makeup application and transformation process every Friday in a mini-series titled “Last Looks” following the main series episodes.
