Duchess Kate and Prince William uploaded a smiling black and white photo to Instagram to commemorate Valentine’s Day.
On Saturday, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a photo taken in April in Anmer, Norfolk.
The image for Middleton and William’s 2025 Christmas card is from the same photo taken by photographer Josh Shiner.
The couple simply captioned the post, “Happy Valentine’s Day 💕.”
Last year, Middleton and William shared rare PDA photos via Instagram to commemorate the special occasion.
At this time, the Prince of Wales kissed his partner on the cheek.
This year’s photo was released just weeks after Middleton spoke about the “moments of fear and exhaustion” she faced before going into remission from cancer.
The princess posted a video of herself visiting cancer patients on Instagram.
“On World Cancer Day, we think of those who have been diagnosed with cancer, are undergoing treatment, and are finding a path to recovery,” she begins in a voiceover.
“Cancer affects so many lives, not just the patient, but their family, friends, and the caregivers who walk alongside them,” Middleton recalled.
“As anyone who has been through this journey can tell you, it is not linear. There are moments of fear and exhaustion. But there are also moments of strength, kindness, and deep connection.”
Mr Middleton stressed that those affected by cancer must remember “the importance of care, understanding and hope”.
“Please know that you are not alone.”
Middleton revealed in March 2024 that she was undergoing treatment for cancer, and announced in September of the same year that she was cancer-free.
“Words cannot express how relieved I am that my chemotherapy treatment is finally complete,” Middleton wrote to X at the time. “My focus now is to do everything I can to avoid getting cancer. Although chemotherapy has finished, there is a long road to healing and full recovery, and I must continue to make the most of every day.”
The Princess of Wales said: “I look forward to returning to work and engaging in as many public engagements as possible in the coming months.”
Middleton, who shares children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, with Prince William, returned to work for the first time in September 2024 after completing preventive chemotherapy.
In July 2025, Middleton opened up about her life after treatment.
“During the treatment, you put on a kind of brave face and have a stoic attitude. Once it’s over, you’re like, ‘Okay, I’m going to go back to normal,’ but the reality is that the next stage is really, really difficult,” she elaborated at Colchester Hospital in Essex, England.
“You’re no longer necessarily under the care of a clinical team, but you probably can’t function normally at home like you used to,” Middleton elaborated.
Offering her own advice, the mother of three said, “You have to find a new normal. It takes time. And it’s a roller coaster and it’s not as smooth as you’d expect. But the reality is, you’re going through a difficult time.”
