Tyra’s latest top can be washed off in the shower.
The 24-year-old “Water” singer showed up in Paris late Monday night wearing what appeared to be a snakeskin-print top, but was actually a temporary tattoo done directly onto her skin by designer Simon Carle.
She was photographed outside a hotel on her way to Crazy Horse during Paris Fashion Week.
Sharing behind-the-scenes snaps of the process on Instagram, Karl applied the faux snakeskin design to Tyra’s torso and arms in multiple sections to create the illusion of a fitted jacket while leaving her back completely bare.

The South African pop star, whose sophomore album A-Pop is due out this summer, posted the completed look on Instagram with the caption: “Perfect X @simoncarle__ Thanks Tat 💋.”
She paired the body art with Rock Revival super low-rise moto jeans worn unbuttoned ($199), archival Dsquared Fall 2016 Samurai heels, and a Valentino suede and python shoulder bag ($3,600).
She completed her look with a delicate gold Chanel chain necklace and electric blue nails.
Faux snakeskin isn’t Karl’s only neat trick, or lack thereof. He created similar temporary tattoo “shirts” with imitation Gucci and Burberry prints, lace patterns, playing cards, and even a cone bra corset.
Carl quickly became the go-to for Pop’s most adventurous dressers. Charli XCX wore a transparent lace-trimmed poncho over a minidress to Sundance in January, and dressed Rosalía’s dancers in deconstructed lingerie during her Brit Awards performance last month.
In addition to his own brand, Karl has worked at Maison Margiela and was part of the haute couture team under John Galliano in 2024 before working at Yeezy in Tokyo.
He returned to Paris in 2025 and continued his work at Glenn Martens’ French House.
