Tyra Banks launches ‘Hot Ice Cream’ and fans are confused.
The ice cream-obsessed supermodel, 51, recently posted a video on Instagram explaining the concept behind the limited-time Smize & Dream ice cream product.
Banks, who opened her Australia-based ice cream shop earlier this year, told her followers that she had given it a “hot makeover” by incorporating the company’s “super popular Fairy Dough Diva ice cream” flavor.
Fairy Dough’s Diva Hot Mama is “silky, smooth, and slurpably warm,” but apparently “not like melted ice cream.”
Instead, it’s “buttery vanilla biscuit-infused hot cream topped with chantilly, rainbow (sprinkles) and finished with slices of (the brand’s) ultra-buttery homemade fairy dough crunch biscuits.”
One of the many confused commenters said, “Okay, but what is hot ice cream?”, while another added, “Tila, what is this?”
While confused, some were actually intrigued.
“Hot ice cream?? Okay, Tyra, you officially broke my brain 😅🔥 I need to experience this magic!” one fan similarly wrote, “Everything about this confuses me. I have to try it,” while another fan added, “Tyra, what the hell are you talking about? I need more details.”
Another person questioned the “America’s Next Top Model” star’s explanation, writing, “Girl, this is the melted ice cream you warmed up 😂.”
Another naysayer countered, “Is it hot chocolate? Or is it a latte? That’s already a question.”
But as Banks said in another promotional video, hot ice cream isn’t a “latte” or “hot chocolate,” but rather “your favorite scoop turned into liquid.”
Still, the majority of netizens did not understand this concept, and some even joked, “I’ve been heating ice cream in the microwave for years 😩.”
