What you need to know
Travis Scott “don’t play around” when it comes to his kids.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the 34-year-old rapper opened up about how fatherhood has changed him and the lessons he’s learned since welcoming daughter Stormi, 7.5, and son Ayle, 3.5, with ex Kylie Jenner.
“You can’t crash. You can’t do a lot of crazy things like you do,” he told the outlet.
Scott also said his two children are a lot like him, especially in their obsession with new “ideas.” He also recalled earlier memories as he watched his son Aire’s imagination sparkle.
“My kids are just like me in that they’re willing to throw away ideas,” he explained.

“My son is three years old now, almost four years old,” he continued. “I took him to the Disney Imagineering spot and his heart was just excited when he saw the robots and all the new technology and how it was being built.”
While children can immerse themselves in new technology, the musician said he is drawing a line at artificial intelligence (AI) and wants to help children understand the basics first and foremost.
“My kids don’t have AI,” he told Rolling Stone. “Introducing AI at this point in time compresses the brain’s full potential.”
“So they need to learn how to learn physically and practically so they can actually know how to get the most out of AI, because if AI does everything for you, how do you know what’s right and what’s wrong?” he added.
His new interview comes months after he surprised fans by bringing his daughter Stormi on stage to perform his song “Thank God” at a concert in Tokyo in November 2025. She was seen smiling and dancing with her father, wearing headphones, a graphic T-shirt, a fur coat and brightly colored braided hair.
Scott also held up a microphone as Stormi performed the line “Yeah, daddy,” which appeared in the 2023 song, and her father rapped, “Storm’s minor, but you know she’s major,” according to a video taken by a fan of the show.

The rapper then urged the audience to “give it up” for his daughter as the audience cheered.
Scott has previously shared insight into his and Jenner’s parenting past, saying in CR Men’s September 2021 cover story that they are taking a more “natural” approach when it comes to parenting their daughter.
“She’s going to bed now and is very energetic,” he said at the time. “We’re trying to cultivate a more natural atmosphere[in parenting]more self-control. Like, ‘Okay, I know I have to go to bed at 9, but are you going to stay up until 11? Or are you going to bed already?’ And it’s so cool[tohearhersay’I’mgoingtobedsweetheart!'”
Scott, 28, and Jenner announced their split for the second time at the end of 2022. They welcomed Stormi in February 2018 and Aire in February 2022.
