One step forward, three steps back.
Travis Kelsey sparked speculation that he secretly married Taylor Swift in the latest episode of “New Heights,” but some fans aren’t convinced.
Podcast guest Jerod Calhoun mentioned Swift in passing during Wednesday’s roundtable while joking about Kelce returning to college with “one semester left” of eligibility to play sports.
“You have to ask my wife,” the University of Cincinnati men’s basketball coach quipped.
Notably, Kelce did not correct Calhoun for referring to his partner in this way.
The Kansas City Chiefs player simply pretended to tell Swift, “I’m going back to school.”
This moment from the podcast went viral on social media, with one X user claiming it meant “a wedding happened.”
However, another Swiftie pointed out that she “called him husband for years before we actually got married.”
Many people took note of Swift calling Kelsey her “fiancé” during her acceptance speech at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards last month.
Some labeled the entire controversy an April Fool’s joke.
Representatives for Kelsey and Swift did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
We previously reported that the two, who started dating in 2023 and got engaged two years later, were scheduled to walk down the aisle in Rhode Island on June 13.
On Wednesday, a source said the “Catching Kelsey” alum is planning a Bahamas bachelor party in late May.
“It’s going to be cold. Just people having a good time,” the source predicted, noting that next month’s attendees will include Jason Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
Notably, Travis and Swift have vacationed in this tropical location before.
As for the bride’s celebration, Us Weekly on Wednesday reported that she is planning a vacation with close friends, including Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez, but will not have bridesmaids on her big day.
The newspaper reported that instead, Swift plans to have friends “stay at her Rhode Island home the night before the wedding.”
